As Chairperson of the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, I presided over the 11th Committee Hearing to discuss matters and initiatives aimed at protecting our environment and promoting sustainable development in Butuan City.

Through meaningful discussions and collaboration, we continue to work toward policies and programs that balance progress with environmental responsibility for the benefit of present and future generations.

A meaningful day of public service and youth engagement during the 33rd Regular Session of the 17th Sangguniang Panlungsod, joined by the Junior City Youth Officials of Butuan City as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration.

Their presence in the session provided a valuable opportunity to observe the legislative process, learn about local governance, and share their perspectives on issues affecting the youth and the community. Initiatives like this help nurture future leaders and encourage greater participation in community development and public service.

Following the session, as Chairperson of the Committee on Public Order and Safety, I convened a coordination meeting with PCOL Richie M. Yatar, City Director of the Butuan City Police Office, together with all BCPO Station Commanders to discuss important matters concerning the peace, order, and safety of our city, particularly recent pressing concerns and incidents in our community.

A productive day of collaboration and public service through participation in a series of Joint Committee Hearings as Committee Vice Chairperson. Discussions focused on strengthening barangay governance, promoting tourism, culture, arts and heritage, advancing education, and supporting programs for families, women, health, and sanitation.

Also attended a consultative meeting of the Committee on Health and Sanitation with Butuan Medical Center to further discuss initiatives aimed at improving public health services and the overall well-being of our community.

Also attended the table discussion on the proposed Drug-Free Workplace Ordinance together with representatives from various government agencies and the business sector, supporting efforts to promote safer and healthier workplace for all.

Gihimo ang suspension aron malikayan ang heat related illnesses ug mapanalipdan ang mga estudyante, teachers, ug school personnel batok sa grabeng kainit.

Kini nga lakang gibase sa rekomendasyon sa CDRRMD, City Health Department, Butuan City DepEd, ug PAG ASA Butuan.

Samtang suspendido ang face to face classes, gi-encourage ang mga eskwelahan nga mogamit og laing paagi sa pagkat-on sama sa modular learning, performance tasks, projects, ug make up classes.

Gihangyo usab ang mga pribadong college institutions nga ikonsiderar ang suspension sa ilang face to face classes aron malikayan ang epekto sa grabeng kainit.
