Urgent Notice to All Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

The Department of Industry hereby notifies all concerned that certain industrial administration services have been delivered through the Industrial Management Information System (IMIS). Henceforth, all services related to industrial administration shall be mandatorily processed through the Industrial Management Information System (IMIS).

All industries registered with the Department, as well as those seeking registration, are hereby requested to submit applications through IMIS in the formats prescribed under the Industrial Enterprises Act, 2076 (2019) and the Industrial Enterprises Regulations, 2078 (2021), as applicable. All stakeholders are kindly urged to extend their cooperation in facilitating effective service delivery through this digital system.

The following services shall be delivered exclusively through IMIS:

- Approval for Industry Registration

- Registration of New Industry

- Enhancement of Capital and Production Capacity

- Extension of Time for Commencement of Operation, Commercial Production, or Business Transaction

- Change of Ownership and Transfer of Location

- Environmental Studies (Brief Environmental Study – BES, Initial Environmental Examination – IEE, Environmental Impact Assessment – EIA, and Revised IEE)

- Availment of Facilities and Incentives

- Approval of Foreign Investment

- Approval of Technology Transfer

- Approval of Foreign Investment through Share Purchase and Sale

- Recommendation for Business Visa and Non-Tourist Visa

- Approval for Repatriation of Investment and Earned Profits

- Determination of Raw Material Consumption Norms
