Today, I read about a lawyer who has gone to court to challenge the continuous use of Arabic inscriptions on the Nigerian currency notes.
The basis for his action is section 10 & 55 of the CFRN 1999 (as amended)

Section 10 talks about Nigeria not adopting any religion as state religion and 55 talks about English as the official language of Nigeria. He queried why there should be found in our currency as the naira notes are properties of government and the Arabic represents Islam.
My conclusion is that I do not agree with him.
