⚖️NO FIRS TIN OR TIN SLIP: You see this one ehn, it is very important. There is no SCUML REGISTRATION without a TIN (Tax identification Number)

⚖️ No documents attached to your application. Sometimes when you do not use the required format to submit your documents, it will not reflect on the scuml portal. Please note, you must merge all your PDF documents in in one file and they must not exceed 2mb. Use a pdf compresser if need be.

Please note you or any of the directors of the company must have a verifiable bank account. At best , avoid using fintech accounts like OPay, Paga and the likes.

⚖️Renovating buildings in Lagos requires a permit from the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) for activities such as retiling, re-plastering, and other aesthetic improvements, as per the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Regulations, 2019.

⚖️Experts emphasize the importance of renovation permits for ensuring compliance with building codes, maintaining safety and structural integrity, and conducting environmental checks.

The CORPORATE AFFAIRS COMMISSION has mandated all POS AGENTS across the country to register their businesses.

The Director General of CAC, Hussaini Magaji, said that the timeline for the registration, which will expire on July 7, 2024, was not targeted at any groups or individuals but genuinely aimed at providing protection for businesses,” the statement said.

According to him, the action is supported by Section 863, Subsection 1 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA 2020, and the 2013 CBN guidelines on agent banking.

So if you run a pos business, do well to register your businesses before the stipulated deadline.

I see a lot of business owners saying they have no reasons to register their businesses at the moment because according to them, they don’t need it. It amazes me because these same business owners are the ones who would run to your dm to demand that you help them register their businesses within 2 hours because there’s an opportunity around the corner which they don’t wish to miss.

Ignorance of the law is not a excuse 👌

Following the sentencing of popular cross dresser BOBRISKY, it is pertinent to note that ‘NAIRA MUTILATION’ is actually a serious offence and punishable by imprisonment for up to six months in Nigeria. Put sentiments aside and forget about whether the law is being selective as to whom to hold accountable. Truth is it may be you or anyone else tomorrow. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse at all. Stop abusing the NAIRA

Below are the ways you can abuse the naira:

SPRAYING: It is illegal to spray banknotes at events.

WRITING: Writing on banknotes is prohibited by law. some of you even make calculations on the naira 😀😀 pls stop it

STAPLING: Stapling banknotes is prohibited by law due to the potential for corrosion caused by the pins.

TEARING: Tearing banknotes is also

DANCING OR STAMPING: Dancing or stamping on naira banknotes is prohibited by law. Getting oil or ink on the banknotes can be considered a form of defacing.

SELLING: Selling currency banknotes is illegal.

Mutilation: Anyone caught tampering with the naira note will face legal consequences, as stated in the CBN Act Section 21 above.

REJECTING THE NAIRA: Rejecting the naira is strictly prohibited by law (Section 20, Subsection 5).

Money bouquets: In February 2023, the CBN also identified money bouquets as a type of naira abuse.
