No matter how angry you are, never insult people anyhow, online or offline. In Nigeria, words alone can put you in serious legal trouble.

Insults sent through WhatsApp, text messages, voice notes, or social media posts can expose you to:

• Defamation claims

• Criminal complaints (where threats or harassment are involved). Cyber bullying.

• A weakened legal case, even when the person involved is actually at fault

What to Do Instead:

• Communicate calmly and in writing; Fight the urge to use offensive words;

• Keep evidence and records;

• Use legal channels, not insults.

NOTE:
Being respectful is not weakness.
Insulting people can cost you your rights.
