THE UNTOLD STORY BEHIND POLICE MISCONDUCT IN NIGERIA

As we condemn officers for extortion, bribery, and other vices, let's not forget the root cause of these problems: GOVERNMENT NEGLIGENCE!

At times, we're quick to blame police officers for their attitude, but have we stopped to consider the circumstances that drive them to engage in illegal activities?

The harsh reality is that many police officers retire from service without owning a personal house. Is it fair to blame them for seeking alternative means of survival?

The government MUST take responsibility for its negligence. It's time to:

Upgrade salary scales for ALL employees, including police officers and other security agencies
Ensure safe working conditions for police officers, as enshrined in their constitutional rights
Review the minimum wage, as ₦700,000 is grossly insufficient in today's economic climate

Failure to address these issues is a NATIONAL THREAT TO CITIZENS. It's time for the government to prioritize the welfare of its employees, particularly those in the security sector.

Let's demand better for our police officers and all public servants!

This is to avoid SETUPS and FALSE ACCUSATIONS by unscrupulous police officers!

A friend shared a horrific experience where he was stopped by police while returning from a vigil, and they "found" weeds in his pocket (which was clearly a setup!). The police then demanded ₦150,000 for bail!

Don't let this happen to you!

Know your rights:

Search the police officer before they search you
Ask for their ID and badge number
Know the reason for the search
Refuse a search without a warrant

Yesterday, I spoke about the Royal Law of Majesty. Today, I'm excited to talke to you about the Law of Liberty, which is classified under GOD or DIVINE law.

The Law of Liberty is more than just a biblical concept - it's a powerful principle that sets us free from sin, selfishness, and oppression. In James 1:25, the Bible says, "But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do." (NIV)

So, what makes the Law of Liberty the best law of all time?

1. Freedom from sin*: The Law of Liberty frees us from the bo***ge of sin and its consequences.
2. Freedom to love*: It empowers us to love God and our neighbors with all our hearts.
3. Freedom to live*: The Law of Liberty gives us the freedom to live a life of purpose, joy, and righteousness.

But how does this relate to our civic lives? Interestingly, Section 35 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria guarantees our right to personal liberty. This section states that every person shall be entitled to freedom from arbitrary arrest, detention, and imprisonment.

As Christians, it's essential to recognize that our freedom in Christ is not just a spiritual concept, but also has practical implications for our civic lives. We must advocate for the protection of human rights, including the right to personal liberty, and work towards creating a society that values freedom, justice, and equality for all.

Let's continue to live out the Law of Liberty in our daily lives, and advocate for a world where everyone can experience true freedom and liberty!

Do You Know About the Royal Law of Majesty?

Today, I want to share with you the uniqueness and importance of fulfilling the Royal Law of Majesty, according to Scripture.

The Royal Law, as summarized by Jesus, is to "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). In James 2:8-10, we read:

So, what is the Royal Law? Jesus summarized it perfectly: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). In James 2:8-10, we read:

"If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, 'Love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing right... But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."

In essence, the Royal Law is about treating others with the same love, respect, and kindness that we desire for ourselves.

Now, let's compare this with our artificial law. The 1999 Constitution of Nigeria emphasizes the importance of equality and non-discrimination. Section 42 states that everyone is equal before the law, and no one is above the law. Additionally, Section 24(3) emphasizes the importance of living in brotherhood and unity.

Just like the Royal Law, our constitution promotes fairness, justice, and equality for all. However, the Royal Law takes it a step further by emphasizing the importance of loving our neighbors as ourselves.

So, let's ask ourselves:

Are we fulfilling the Royal Law in our daily lives?

Are we showing love and compassion to those around us?

Or are we favoring some people over others?

Let's strive to live out the Royal Law today and every day!

Are we upholding the principles of equality and non-discrimination in our communities?

Things the happen for this country ooo 🤣 🤣🤣😆.
a lady got a call from Her university boyfriend—or should I say “old boyfriend”—asked for her account number, saying he wanted to deposit money and give her 10% as “thank you.” She agreed, and boom, 6.7 million naira landed in her account😋. Turns out the money was stolen! The guy had teamed up with some boys and kidnapped his HR, forced him to transfer the money to her account🥺. Now madam is cooling off in a police cell.

My people, wahala is just roaming around, looking for who to catch😩. If you like, let one smooth talker sweet-talk you into “business deals” involving your account for a small percentage. You and I both know that kind of request na pure illegal transaction🤦.

Now, someone’s about to eat her Christmas rice and chicken inside a cell😭.

Eventually, if someone drags you to c0urt for any reason

One of the biggest mistake you can make is when they ask you a question and you don't know how to answer the question they ask you only.

Well, you may think you are smart but e get the way dem go ask you question for c0urt or station when you get case ehn, you no go know when you go implicate yourself by talking too much .

Let me give you an example by asking you a very simple question

If a lawyer ask you in c0urt

Do you know what time it is?

If you respond by saying the correct time as at that moment like its 9:30am

You are wrong.

The answer to that question is basically Yes, i do or No, i don't

No need for long talk at all or else your long talk may land you in more trouble

Avoid saying more than necessary and stay vigilant

Ignorance of the law is no excuse
