If you dey yearly tenancy, dem suppose give you 6 months notice
If na monthly tenancy, 1 month notice na minimum

You wake up one morning, landlord don send message say “from next month, rent don double!”

My people, law no dey allow that kind thing o!
If you be yearly tenant, landlord suppose give you at least 6 months notice before e increase rent.
If you rent monthly, na one month notice e go give.

No let anybody use “Na my house” confuse you.
Notice first, rent increase later! ⚖️

For this life, make love no blind you reach where common sense and paper work suppose guide you.
If you help person build house, maybe you contribute money, buy cement, or even design am that no mean say the house automatically be your own.

For Nigerian law, property ownership dey depend on whose name dey for the document (deed or C of O).
If your name no dey there, and you no get clear evidence of financial contribution, you fit lose that house clean

But if you fit show proof say you truly contribute, like transfer receipts, text messages, or witnesses you fit tell court say you get “beneficial interest” for the property.
Meaning: court fit order make you collect back your share or compensation.

So before you join body with anybody build house, abeg:
• Put agreement for paper ✍🏾
• Keep record of your contribution 📄
• No dey depend only on love or promise

Because when wahala burst, court no dey judge emotion — na evidence e dey find! ⚖️

E get one kind relationship wey don land many people for wahala, online love with lies inside.
Make we talk true: e no bad to get online partner, even person wey dey send you small support.
But once you use fake name, fake photo, or lie say you be somebody wey you no be, just to collect money, you don enter cybercrime zone.

Under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, if you:
• Create fake identity or account to deceive person online
• Collect money under false story (“my mama dey sick”, “I wan travel”, etc.)
• Pretend to be foreign soldier, model, or business person
na “obtaining by false pretence” (Yahoo Yahoo), and you fit go prison up to 7 years or more

Even if you be the “babe” or “guy” wey dey help move the money, law still hold you join.
Ignorance no be excuse for court matter o.

So before you collect or spend that “foreign love money”, ask yourself “This love na truth or na fraud?”
Because once EFCC knock your door, love story go turn charge sheet ⚖️

For this life, to borrow person money dey easy, but to collect am back fit turn to battle 😩
But make you no vex or go fight because the law get way wey you fit recover your money sharp sharp.

If person owe you ₦5 million or less, you fit go Small Claims Court for your area.
E no need lawyer or long grammar, just carry your evidence like:
• Receipt or bank transfer screenshot
• Chat or message wey show say you lend am money
• Witness wey fit confirm am

Once you file your claim, the court go call the person to appear within few days.
If e no show up, court fit give judgment in your favor and you go get paper to collect your money legally.

No dey use police do debt recovery o, because police no be debt collector.
Use the Small Claims Court, e fast, e cheap, and e legal 💪🏾

For Nigeria, landlord no fit just wake up one morning and say “Comot for my house today!” he no work like that.
Even if you never pay rent for 6 months, e still need court order before e fit pursue you comot.

The law say before landlord go evict person, e must:
1. Give proper notice
2. File case for court if tenant no gree move.
3. Wait for court judgment before touching your load.

If landlord jump all these steps and carry your property out by force, na illegal eviction, and you fit even sue am or report to the police.

Make nobody use fear or shout press you. Know your right — because ignorance no be excuse for law.
