GOD WILL ALWAYS KEEP HIS PROMISE
When the word of God came to Caleb through Moses, he was 40 years old.
Moses had sent him, alongside other men, to spy out the Promised Land.
And because Caleb followed God wholeheartedly, Moses gave him a promise:
“The land where your feet have trodden shall be your inheritance, and your children's inheritance.”
But the promise was not fulfilled immediately.
Caleb had to wait.
Years passed.
Battles came.
The wilderness journey happened.
People died.
A whole generation passed away.
Yet, the promise remained.
Forty-five years later, Caleb stood before Joshua.
He was now 85 years old.
And this was what amazes me:
Caleb had not forgotten what God said.
He remembered the promise after 45 years!
At 85, he said he was still as strong and ready for battle as he was when Moses first sent him out.
Then Joshua gave him the land God had promised him.
But Caleb still had to fight for it.
He conquered the land and possessed his inheritance.
And this is the message in my heart today:
God's promises are sure, but we may not always know the timing of their fulfilment.
Sometimes, we think that because God has spoken, everything should happen immediately.
But God is not limited by our timetable.
A delay does not mean God has forgotten.
Years passing does not mean the prophecy has expired.
Waiting does not mean the promise has failed.
What God has said concerning you still matters—even when time has passed.
Caleb waited 45 years.
But when the time came, the promise was still alive.
Friend, don't throw away what God told you simply because it has taken longer than you expected.
God is not a man that He should lie.
If He spoke it, He has not forgotten it.
If He promised it, He is faithful to fulfil it.
Your responsibility is to keep walking with Him, keep believing Him, and remain faithful while you wait.
Because when God's appointed time comes, years cannot stop His promise from coming to pass.
God may not work according to our timing, but He will always remain faithful to His Word.
And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years…
Joshua 14:10
The promise may take time, but God never forgets what He has said.
Hold on. Keep believing.
God will keep His promise.
