The Empowerment Teaching Ministry & Legal Clinic (ETM&LC) was a vision given by God to provide Pro Bono services to pre-trial detainees who are incapacitated to provide or acquire legal representation for themselves.
When we view our prison system, we see more pre-trial detainees than convicts and this is because these pre-trial detainees cannot afford to pay for the service of a lawyer, which has denied them the opportunity to get due process, thus causing them to languish in jail.
This is where we step in to provide that lawyer that will represent a pre-trial detainee who has languished in jail only because he or she cannot afford to hire a lawyer.
We pray that by the grace and provision of God, we can help as many of our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and children languishing behind bars.
Join us in providing our indigent people with the services ( a competent, dedicated and well seasoned lawyer) they need to enable them acquire due process which will either render them free or convicted.
We also provide church leaders with the legal knowledge they need to help their congregations. For example: Church leaders know what the Bible says about marriage but are not aware or familiar with the legal implications that can affect a marriage, etc.
