Jesus came to the Jordan River where John the Baptist was giving baptism. Although Jesus had no sin, He wanted to be baptized to follow God’s plan and show His example.
After Jesus was baptized, the sky opened, and the Holy Spirit came down like a dove.
Then a voice from heaven said:
“This is my beloved Son. I am pleased with Him.”
This moment showed that Jesus is the Son of God and marked the start of His mission.
