شاركتُ في احتفال دير مار مارون ومدرسة قدموس بعيد شفيعهما القديس مارون في منطقة صور، يوم حمل نعمة الصلاة ودفء الحضور.

في القداس الإلهي الذي ترأسه المطران شربل عبد الله راعي أبرشية صور المارونية، شعرتُ أنّ الإيمان ليس كلمات، بل حياة تُعاش… وأنّ القديس مارون ما زال يزرع فينا الثبات والرجاء.

الأجمل أنّ العيد كان مساحة للتلاقي والتآخي من كل مشارب المجتمع، مسيحيين ومسلمين، اجتمعنا على المحبّة والبركة، وكأنّ قدموس قالت بصمتها الجميل: حين تتقدّم القيم الروحية، تتراجع المسافات وتتوحد القلوب.

وكان قد سبق القداس تدشين ومباركة مزار القديس مارون، لحظة عميقة تُذكّرنا بأنّ القداسة تبدأ من الداخل… ثم اختُتم اللقاء بلقمة محبة عنوانها: “مباركٌ هذا العيد… ومباركةٌ هذه الوحدة.”

Two days ago, at Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth - USJ, we turned an important page in the story of NODE - Network of Organizational Development Experts, during the RISE NOMADE Conference.

In a warm & inspiring ceremony, and in the presence of distinguished guests, partners, and friends, we celebrated the handover between Sabine El Riachy, our outgoing President, and myself as the new President, together with a newly elected Executive Committee: Pierre EL HADDAD, Dr. Rana Sawaya, Gabriel Habib, Mireille daaboul, & hilda bairamian.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to Sabine and the outgoing Committee!

Their commitment, resilience, and generosity have anchored NODE as a living community of practice. They carried the network through challenges, built bridges between disciplines and sectors, and showed what it means to lead with both competence and heart.

🌱 A new chapter, same spirit, renewed energy!

As I take on this responsibility, I do so with humility and deep motivation. NODE is not just a network; it is a space where ideas become action, where professionals become a community, and where change starts from real human relationships.

✨ A journey of learning, purpose, and transformation at ISEOR - Institut de Socio-Économie des Entreprises et des Organisations ’s 50th Anniversary Colloque ✨

Participating with NODE - Network of Organizational Development Experts in the ISEOR Colloque d’Automne (5–7 November) at Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) was both inspiring and humbling.

Meeting Prof. HENRI SAVALL, founder and president of ISEOR, alongside Carole Bousquet, PhD. Chair of the Academy of Management - Management Consulting Division, & Pierre EL HADDAD, MC PDW Chair, reaffirmed how deeply management can unite economic performance with human progress. The ISEOR legacy is not a static academic model, it is a living source of innovation and transformation.

In a world marked by systemic change, this socio-economic approach reminds us that excellence is not about perfection, but about purposeful action, about turning hidden costs into added value and aligning meaning with performance. Continuing this work means daring to think differently, bridging research and practice, valuing experiential knowledge, and adapting methods to today’s realities with lucidity and openness.

As François Perroux once wrote, “Tout ce qui croit change en croissant.” It is now our turn to help this legacy grow, by transforming it, renewing it, and carrying it forward into the future.

🕊️ Immunity ≠ Impunity

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the National Investigation Officers Workshop held at UNIFIL, organized by the Regional Conduct and Discipline Section (RCDTS).

During my session, I addressed a key principle: while military personnel in UN peacekeeping operations may enjoy immunity for acts performed in their official capacity, this does not excuse misconduct or shield criminal behavior.

Member States remain fully responsible for investigating and prosecuting their personnel when allegations arise. The UNSG’s message is clear and firm: "There is no excuse and no exception for criminal acts. Accountability must prevail."

Strengthening accountability is essential to maintaining the trust, credibility, and values of United Nations peacekeeping.

اليوم، كان لي شرف المشاركة في توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة الدفاع الوطني اللبنانية و #اليونيفيل، بدعمٍ قيّم من حكومة #فرنسا للجيش اللبناني .

Today, I had the privilege to participate in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Lebanese Ministry of National Defense and , with the valued support of the Government of .

The MoU will provide vital fuel and food assistance to the Lebanese Armed Forces, reinforcing one of the country’s core institutions during a time of acute need.

This agreement underscores the importance of international cooperation and the enduring partnership between UNIFIL and the Lebanese State in support of peace and stability in South Lebanon under UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

On a personal note, I am proud to have contributed to the legal framework enabling this important initiative — a reminder of the impact that well-crafted legal instruments can have in advancing shared goals for resilience and peace.

✨ في ظل النقاشات المتزايدة حول مستقبل تفويض #اليونيفيل في لبنان… ما هي أولويات البعثة اليوم؟
كيف تواجه التحديات الميدانية؟
وما هو دور في هذا التعاون الاستراتيجي؟
إليكم أبرز النقاط 👇

التحدي الأكبر الذي تواجهه قوات #اليونيفيل في جنوب لبنان يبقى غياب حل سياسي طويل الأمد بين #لبنان و #إسرائيل. ولهذا السبب تواصل البعثة تشجيع جميع الأطراف على تجديد التزامها بالتنفيذ الكامل للقرار 1701، بما يشمل اتخاذ خطوات ملموسة نحو وقف دائم لإطلاق النار.

من المبكر جداً التكهن بما قد يكون عليه تفويض اليونيفيل بعد أغسطس المقبل، إذ أن القرار في هذا الشأن يعود إلى مجلس الأمن الدولي.

تنفّذ اليونيفيل مئات النشاطات العملياتية يومياً في جنوب لبنان. ورغم بعض الحوادث المحدودة، فإن حرية الحركة لا تواجه عوائق كبيرة. بعض القيود تنشأ بسبب سوء فهم أو اعتقاد خاطئ بأن وجود الجيش اللبناني هو شرط دائم لمرافقة دوريات اليونيفيل.

وفقاً للقرار 1701، يمكن لليونيفيل تنفيذ مهامها مع الجيش اللبناني أو من دونه، علماً أن جميع النشاطات يتم التخطيط لها والتنسيق بشأنها مع القوات المسلحة اللبنانية. تنفيذ القرار هو مسؤولية الأطراف المعنية، ولا يمكن لليونيفيل فرضه.

لا تملك اليونيفيل تفويضاً بالدخول إلى أي مكان بالقوة إلا في حال توفرت أدلة موثوقة على وجود نشاط عدائي وشيك. لبنان دولة ذات سيادة، وكما هو الحال في أي دولة أخرى، هناك إطار قانوني ينظّم الدخول إلى الممتلكات الخاصة.

منذ التوصل إلى تفاهم لوقف الأعمال العدائية قبل خمسة أشهر، اكتشف جنود حفظ السلام في اليونيفيل نحو 225 موقعاً يُشتبه باستخدامها كمخابئ للأسلحة والذخائر، وأُحيل كل ما عُثر عليه إلى .

وتواصل اليونيفيل أداء مهامها وفق منطوق القرار 1701، بالتعاون مع جميع الأطراف. وفي لبنان، يبقى الجيش اللبناني الشريك الاستراتيجي الأساسي للبعثة في تنفيذ ولايتها والحفاظ على الاستقرار في منطقة العمليات.

From Medjugorje to the Mission: A Legal Soul Reawakened

I recently returned from a pilgrimage to Medjugorje — a sacred land where heaven gently touches earth, where the silence is alive with grace, and where the soul, so often buried under responsibility, finally breathes again.

In a world where the law intersects with conflict and humanitarian work bears the weight of crisis, it’s easy to become consumed by deadlines, protocols, and outcomes. But Medjugorje reminded me: behind every statute, there is a soul. Behind every cause, a human story. And without compassion, justice loses its light.

As I climbed Apparition Hill, sat in stillness beneath the Cross of Krizevac, and joined others in prayerful surrender, I was not escaping the world — I was reclaiming my place in it. With every step, a burden lifted. With every tear, clarity returned. In those sacred moments, I found not only peace — I found purpose.

Returning to courtrooms, boardrooms, and field missions, I now carry a deeper balance:
🕊 A mind focused by silence.
❤️ A heart softened by grace.
⚖️ A mission re-rooted in meaning.

To my fellow legal and humanitarian professionals: never underestimate the power of pausing. Make room for the sacred. For in prayer, we remember why we serve. In silence, we hear the whispers of truth. And in the presence of grace, we become instruments of justice — not only by what we do, but by who we are.

من مديوغوريه إلى الرسالة: روح قانونية أُعيد إحياؤها

عدت مؤخرًا من حجّ إلى مديوغوريه – تلك الأرض المقدّسة حيث يلامس السماء الأرض، حيث يصمت العالم الخارجي ليهمس الله في العمق، وحيث تعود الروح إلى النبض بعد طول انشغال.

في مهنة يلتقي فيها القانون بالصراع، والعمل الإنساني بالأزمات، من السهل أن ننسى الإنسان الذي بداخلنا... أن ننسى أن خلف كل نص قانوني، هناك وجع؛ وخلف كل ملف، قصة إنسان.

مديوغوريه كانت تذكيرًا ناعمًا ولكن عميقًا: العدالة بلا رحمة فراغ، والعمل بلا صلاة تعب، والخدمة بلا نعمة ضياع.

بين صلوات التبشير، وتسلق تلة الظهورات، والتأمل أمام صليب كريزيفاك، وجدت السلام… لا للهروب من الواقع، بل للعودة إليه بروح جديدة. كل خطوة كانت شفاء، وكل دمعة كانت وضوحًا. هناك، وجدت الهدف من جديد.

عدت إلى ساحات العدالة، وقاعات الاجتماعات، ومهام الإغاثة الميدانية، وأنا أحمل توازنًا مختلفًا:
🕊 عقل صافٍ بالصمت
❤️ قلب ليّن بالنعمة
⚖️ رسالة متجددة بالمعنى

إلى زملائي في القانون والعمل الإنساني: خصّصوا وقتًا لما هو مقدّس. ففي الصمت، نجد الوضوح. في الصلاة، نجد القوّة. وفي النعمة، نُعيد تعريف العدالة… ليس فقط بما نفعله، بل بمن نكون.

في وداع الغالية أنطوانيت باسيل – Tonton

بوجع يختلط بالامتنان، نودّع سيدة استثنائية... أنطوانيت باسيل، أو كما نحب أن نناديها دومًا: Tonton.

رحلت بعد أكثر من ٥٢ سنة من العطاء المتواصل في خدمة الإنسان، عبر مسيرتها في الصليب الأحمر اللبناني – فرع جونية، حيث جسّدت المعنى الحقيقي للالتزام والمحبة والعمل بصمت.

رافقتها لأكثر من ربع قرن منذ لحظة انتسابي، وكانت دومًا البوصلة الأخلاقية، والمثل الأعلى، والنبض الإنساني لكل حملة ومبادرة. لم تكن فقط فردًا من العائلة، بل كانت روحًا جامعة، ومرشدة بصبرها ودفئها وابتسامتها التي لم تفارقها يومًا.

انطوانيت لم تكن فقط قصة حياة... كانت دعوة حية للخير، ونورًا يتقد في قلب كل من خَبِرَ العمل التطوعي بمعيّتها.

أنطوانيت باسيل ستبقى محفورة في ذاكرة جيلٍ كامل، وفي قلب كل مَن عمل معها أو استلهم من نقاء سيرتها.

المسيح قام... حقًا قام، ونحن شهود على ذلك.
ولروحكِ السلام، ولذكراكِ المجد والوفاء.
