ARREST OF CRIMINAL GANG MEMBERS

A team of officers drawn from DCI Msambweni, along with officers from Diani Police Station, has arrested three notorious members of a gang that has been terrorising members of the public in Tiwi, Mwachema, Mwakamba, and along the beachlines of Matuga and Msambweni.

Acting on crucial intelligence leads, the officers launched a meticulous operation that led them straight to the hideout of the criminals in Tiwi, arresting the trio Swaleh Idd, Ismael Sefu, and Omar Rama, bringing their reign of terror to an end.

The three are now in custody at Diani Police Station, where they are undergoing processing in preparation for their arraignment.

ARREST OF HIGHWAY ROBBERS

Detectives from Rabai Sub-County have arrested three suspects connected to a notorious highway robbery gang that has been terrorising truck drivers along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

Thanks to a timely tip from alert members of the public, detectives launched a targeted operation in Mabirikani area, culminating in the arrest of Juma Ali, Hamisi Juma, and Benedict Chirodo, who are believed to be part of a larger criminal group known for terrorising truck drivers near Bonje area of Mazeras Township.

Upon their arrest, investigators recovered several items, including currency from different countries, two pairs of military boots, fourteen rolls of bhang, thirty-two pieces of mug glass, mobile phone chargers, two bales of carrier bags, and an HCL computer keyboard. This haul is linked to multiple cases filed at Mazeras police station, showcasing the gang's broad criminal activities.

The suspects are currently in custody, undergoing processing before their court appearance. The recovered items have since been secured as exhibits in the ongoing investigation.

CO***NE TRAFFICKER ARRESTED IN ANTI-DRUG OPERATION

A multi-agency team deployed to crack down drug traffickers operating from the Northern Frontier District to the Capital have nabbed a suspected trafficker, Jane Njeri Muigai, in whose possession was discovered 294g of Co***ne concealed in her private part.

The arrest followed the interception of a Nairobi-bound bus from Moyale, at a roadblock manned by the team. Exhibiting behaviour signaling to "the guilty ones are always afraid", female law enforcers isolated the 28-year-old for a thorough search, thereby confirming their suspicion.

The suspect has been booked at Moyale Police Station, as anti-narcotics officers take up the matter to instigate legal processes.
