Daily Reminder.
Some of you are going to be very angry at this post. That is fine.

You should be friends with boring people. I said it.

The people who do not drink. The people who go to bed at 9pm. The people who go to the gym at 5am. The people who do not party every weekend. The people who would rather discuss business than gossip. The people who decline invitations because they have work to do.

Those people.

The ones you label as "boring" are quietly winning at life.

And the friends you find "fun" right now are the same friends you will be fundraising for in 10 years.

Let me explain.

That guy who drinks every weekend? Today he is the life of the party. Buys you drinks. Always knows where the action is. You love hanging out with him.

Fast forward 15 years.

His liver is failing.
His kidneys are shutting down.
He needs a transplant.
And the WhatsApp group is now collecting 5 million shillings to save his life.

You will donate.
Out of friendship.
Out of guilt.
Out of obligation.

But you will be quietly wondering how a grown man let his life come to this.

Meanwhile your "boring" friend is silently buying his second piece of land. He spent his weekends at home. He invested in his health. He went to bed early. He was building while everyone was vibing.

He never invited you out because he was busy.
You called him antisocial.

Now he is the one you wish you had listened to.

Here is the lesson.

The people you spend the most time with shape your future. Not your present. Your future.

Fun friends create fun memories.
Disciplined friends create disciplined lives.
Drinking friends create drinking habits.
Lazy friends create lazy weekends.

Pick your circle based on where you want to be in 10 years.

Not where you want to be this Friday night.

I would rather be labeled as bad. Antisocial. Selfish. Snobbish.

Than be the guy stuck in a hospital bed at 50 because I wanted to be liked at 28.

Cut people who are leading you to destruction.

Even if they are nice.

Daily Reminder.
Having a certificate does not mean you can do the job. Let me say that again. Having a certificate does not mean you can do the job.

You passed an exam.
Congratulations.

But passing an exam and performing in the real world are two completely different things.

Think about it.

You can get a driving license today.
Go through driving school.
Pass the test at NTSA.
Get your little card.

Then get on Mombasa Road and cause an accident in 10 minutes.

The license said you can drive.
The road said you cannot.

That is exactly what is happening with degrees and diplomas in this country.

People are graduating.
People are getting certified.
People are collecting papers.

And then they sit at home wondering why nobody is hiring them.

Because the paper said you studied.
It did not say you can deliver.

Employers do not care about what you memorized.
They care about what you can do.

Can you solve this problem?
Can you deliver this project?
Can you produce results?

That is the interview.

Your certificate gets you in the room.
Your ability keeps you in the room.

Most people treat the certificate like the finish line.
It is not.
It is the starting line.

The real race begins when someone hands you a task and says do it.

And you either can or you cannot.

No amount of papers will save you in that moment.

What saves you is your ability to take in information and actually apply it.

Not memorize it.
Apply it.

Stop collecting certificates and start collecting skills.
Stop proving it on paper and start proving it in practice.

The world does not reward what you know.
It rewards what you can do.

Show them.
