【2026年改正外為法に基づく対内直接投資審査制度の見直しの概要と実務への影響】
2026年6月に公布された「改正外為法」の解説記事を公開しました。

今回の改正は、安全保障環境の変化を勘案して、対内直接投資審査制度の見直しを行うものです。いわゆる「日本版CFIUS」の創設をはじめ、クロスボーダーM&Aや外資受入実務に大きな影響を与える内容となっています。

[New Article] Key Updates & Practical Impacts of the 2026 Amended Foreign Exchange Act

We have published an explanatory article on the Amended Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (FEFTA), promulgated in June 2026.

This amendment fundamentally overhauls Japan's inward direct investment screening regime to address changing national security environments. Featuring the establishment of a "Japanese version of CFIUS," these changes will significantly impact cross-border M&A and foreign investment practice in Japan.

Initial foreign investment screening is now more critical than ever—even for foreign-to-foreign M&A transactions, careful due diligence on Japanese entities is required.
