Pralhad Joshi is a senior BJP leader from Karnataka and one of the party's most experienced faces in Parliament. He began his political journey through student activism and the RSS, later rising steadily in national politics. Over the years, he has represented the Dharwad constituency multiple times in the Lok Sabha and earned a reputation for being a calm, disciplined, and low-profile administrator rather than a headline-seeking politician.
Before taking charge of the Education Ministry, Joshi handled key portfolios such as Parliamentary Affairs and Coal & Mines. In these roles, he focused on improving coordination between the government and Parliament, pushing policy reforms, and overseeing major decisions in the mining and energy sectors. Within the BJP, he is known as a trusted troubleshooter who is often given important responsibilities during crucial political moments.
With the additional charge of the Education Ministry following Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Pralhad Joshi now faces the task of maintaining continuity in India's education reforms while balancing his existing responsibilities. His administrative experience and consensus-driven approach are expected to play a key role as the ministry moves forward with ongoing initiatives and future policy decisions.
