is an Australian Government labour agreement framework that helps approved employers in designated regional areas address local skill and labour shortages by sponsoring eligible overseas workers.
π How does DAMA work?
πΉ Designated Region: The employer must operate in a region covered by a DAMA.
πΉ Employer Sponsorship: An eligible employer must seek endorsement and access to the relevant labour agreement arrangements.
πΉ Eligible Occupations: Available occupations and requirements vary by region and agreement.
πΉ Visa Pathways: Depending on the occupation and agreement, pathways may include:
β’ Subclass 482 β Skills in Demand visa
β’ Subclass 494 β Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa
β’ Subclass 186 β Employer Nomination Scheme visa, where applicable
β
Who may benefit?
Skilled and semi-skilled overseas workers whose occupations, qualifications, experience and other circumstances meet the relevant DAMA and visa requirements.
β οΈ Important: DAMA is not a direct visa or an independent application pathway. You generally need an eligible employer and must meet the applicable requirements. Occupations, concessions and permanent residency pathways differ between DAMAs.
