Bombay High Court Imposes ₹5 Lakh Cost On FDA For Keeping Pune Shop License Suspended Despite Compliance
The Bombay High Court has imposed costs of ₹5 lakh on the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for continuing the suspension of a Pune shop's licence despite the establishment having complied with the deficiencies pointed out by the authorities.
The Court found the FDA's action unjustified and arbitrary, observing that regulatory authorities must act fairly and cannot continue punitive measures after compliance has been achieved.
