Sharing of Anti-Ragging Awareness Video Among Students

On 18th August 2026, the Anti-Ragging Cell of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, shared an anti-ragging awareness video with students through the designated communication groups. The initiative aimed to sensitise students about the harmful effects of ragging and promote a safe, respectful, and ragging-free campus.

Students were encouraged to watch and share the video, uphold the dignity of their peers, and report any incident of ragging. The activity reinforced the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and highlighted the collective responsibility of students in fostering a peaceful and inclusive campus environment.

Anti-Ragging Campaign by Students of G.H.G Institute of Law

G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, organized an Anti-Ragging Campaign on 17th August 2026 to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects and legal consequences of ragging. The campaign was carried out with active participation and enthusiasm of the students.
Students conveyed the message of maintaining a safe, respectful, and ragging-free campus through awareness activities, posters and interactions with fellow students.
The campaign aimed to sensitize students about the physical, mental, and emotional impact of ragging and to promote a culture of friendship, equality, discipline, and mutual respect. The students’ active involvement made the campaign meaningful and effective.
The Anti-Ragging Campaign concluded with a collective commitment by the students to maintain a peaceful, safe, and completely ragging-free environment in the institute.

In observance of Anti-Ragging Week, organized in accordance with the guidelines of the UGC and the National Anti-Ragging Monitoring Agency, the students of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, actively participated by sharing their views and perspectives on the issue of ragging.
Through their thoughtful expressions, the students highlighted the harmful consequences of ragging, emphasized the importance of mutual respect, dignity, and a safe learning environment, and expressed their commitment towards creating a ragging-free campus. Their participation reflected a strong sense of awareness and responsibility towards promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and zero tolerance towards ragging.

G.H.G. Institute of Law Celebrates Teej Festival with Traditional Fervour

Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana | 12 August 2026: G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana, celebrated the vibrant festival of Teej with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal. The celebration was organised under the instructions of the Cultural Committee, comprising Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Ms. Neha Minocha, Ms. Sarbjit Kaur and Ms. Kriti Garg. Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Dr. Lovely Sharma and Ms. Sarbjit Kaur served as judges for the various competitions.

In the Miss Teej Competition, Jasmeet Kaur (B.A. LL.B. 1st Semester) won the title of Miss Teej; Paneet Kaur (B.A. LL.B. 3rd Semester) was awarded Madkavin Tor; Jessica Punj (LL.B. 5th Semester) won Gidhiyan Di Rani; and Ramneek Kaur (LL.B. 3rd Semester) won Sohni Mutiyar. In the Mr. Gabhru Competition, all titles were won by B.A. LL.B. 1st Semester students: Jaskirat Singh Toor – Mr. Gabhru; Gurshan Singh Deol– Sohna Sardar; Arshdeep Singh – Ankhi Sardar; Guransh – Punjabi Swag; and Paras – Navekli Shakshiyat. Various cultural activities, including Group Dance, Solo Dance, Folk Songs, Giddha and Bhangra, were also organised.

The programme concluded with a lively DJ party, where students celebrated the successful culmination of the festivities with great enthusiasm. Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal, appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Cultural Committee, judges, faculty members and students in making the celebration memorable and successful.
