पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय जी — संक्षिप्त इतिहास

पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय जी भारतीय जनसंघ के प्रमुख विचारकों और नेताओं में से एक थे। उनका जन्म 25 सितंबर 1916 को नगला चंद्रभान, मथुरा (उत्तर प्रदेश) में हुआ था।

वे बचपन से ही मेधावी और अध्ययनशील थे। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (RSS) से जुड़कर अपना सार्वजनिक जीवन प्रारंभ किया और संगठन के विस्तार में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।

1951 में डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी द्वारा भारतीय जनसंघ की स्थापना के बाद दीनदयाल जी संगठन के प्रमुख नेताओं में उभरे। वे लंबे समय तक जनसंघ के महासचिव रहे और संगठन को मजबूत करने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया।

उनका सबसे प्रमुख वैचारिक योगदान “एकात्म मानववाद” (Integral Humanism) था। उनका विचार था कि भारत का विकास केवल आर्थिक दृष्टि से नहीं, बल्कि व्यक्ति, समाज, अर्थव्यवस्था और संस्कृति के संतुलित विकास के आधार पर होना चाहिए।

उन्होंने “अंत्योदय” की भावना पर भी जोर दिया—अर्थात समाज के अंतिम पंक्ति में खड़े व्यक्ति के जीवन में सुधार और उसे विकास की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ना।

11 फरवरी 1968 को मुगलसराय रेलवे स्टेशन के पास उनकी रहस्यमय परिस्थितियों में मृत्यु हुई। बाद में मुगलसराय स्टेशन का नाम बदलकर पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय जंक्शन रखा गया।

25 सितंबर, उनकी जयंती, भाजपा और उससे जुड़े संगठनों द्वारा विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से मनाई जाती है।
