Dharmendra Pradhan has officially resigned as the Union Education Minister. In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he took moral responsibility amid the ongoing NEET paper leak controversy and intense student protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party.
For weeks, students had been demanding his resignation, calling it non-negotiable. The government had earlier stood firm, but Pradhan finally chose to step down, stating that the future of students should not be caught in political crossfire.
In his resignation letter, he highlighted the steps already taken by the government CBI probe, re-examination, and the decision to shift NEET to computer-based mode from next year. He also thanked the Prime Minister and his colleagues for their support.
