🚨 The Dark Side of the EV Cab Revolution? 🚨

Tried the new Green SM EV cab in Delhi today. On the surface? Clean, spacious 6-seaters. But the reality behind the wheel is a completely different story.

Here is the “Promise vs. Reality” breakdown:
❌ Consumer Promise: Cabs at half the rate of normal cabs.
📉 Reality: Cost me ₹250, the exact same as Uber.
❌ Driver Promise: ₹35,000/month with WEEKLY payouts.
📉 Reality: Drivers haven’t been paid for a WHOLE MONTH.

Drivers are putting in 20-hour days—between 10-hour driving shifts, 3 hours of commuting to distant hubs, and waiting 4-5 hours just to charge the cars because of zero infrastructure.

As an advocate, seeing gig workers and drivers being blatantly denied their rightful, promised wages is a massive red flag.

You cannot build a sustainable business in India by exploiting your workforce and breaching basic payout agreements.

What are your thoughts on companies exploiting gig workers like this? Let’s discuss in the comments. 👇⚖️

Don’t let those aesthetic Instagram reels fool you! 🛑

The reality of the Hampta Pass Trek hits different, especially when you’re carrying a 25kg backpack. 🎒⛰️

After covering 25km from Chika to Chhatru, here is my brutally honest review and the ultimate reality check for beginners:

👉 Fitness is Non-Negotiable: This is NOT an easy trek. If you aren’t physically prepared, don’t just show up for the photos.

👉 Pack LIGHT (Learn from my mistakes!): I overpacked based on what I saw online.

Here is your ultimate minimal packing list:
2 Track pants (1 regular, 1 fleece)
2 T-shirts (1 full-sleeve, 1 half-sleeve)
1 Fleece & 1 Padded Jacket
Basic toiletries (TP, wet wipes, paper soap)
Sunscreen (SPF 50+ PA+++), shades, and a cap 🧴🕶️

👉 Leave the heavy stuff at home: Ditch the giant bath towels!

Massive shoutout to Trekup India for the amazing facilities along the way—even in the unpredictable mountain weather! 🏕️🌧️

Save this reality check and packing list for your next Himalayan adventure, and share it with your trekking squad before they overpack! 👇

The “All-Court Practice” reality check! ⚖️😅

While the exclusive High Court and Supreme Court advocates are currently living their best lives in Europe, Peru, and Thailand (hello, June 1st - 30th vacation ✈️🏖️), the rest of us are out here in Saket Court sprinting with our laptops to get files cleared. 🏃‍♂️💼

Since District Court vacations don’t start until June 13th, the pre-vacation hustle is REAL. Shoutout to all the litigators who practice in all courts—our grind doesn’t stop just because it’s June!

Who else is surviving the District Court pre-vacation rush right now? 👇

⚖️ Legal Remedies & Actions ✅

When a police officer assaults a civilian, the victim has several layers of legal recourse:

1. Administrative Complaint 📝

SSP/DCP Office: File a written complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) or Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). Request an internal inquiry and suspension of the officer.

Police Complaints Authority (PCA): Most states have a PCA specifically designed to handle grievances regarding police misconduct (assault, extortion, or abuse of power).

2. Judicial Remedy (The Most Effective)👩‍⚖️

Private Complaint: File a complaint under Section 200 of the CrPC (or relevant section under BNSS) before the Judicial Magistrate. The court can order an FIR to be registered against the officer.

Writ Petition: If the police refuse to act on the complaint, a Writ of Mandamus can be filed in the High Court (Article 226) seeking action against the erring officer and compensation for the violation of fundamental rights (Article 21).

3. Human Rights Commissions 🪧

NHRC/SHRC: File a complaint with the National or State Human Rights Commission. They have the power to investigate, recommend departmental action, and grant monetary compensation to the victim.

4. Specific Provisions for Women 👩‍💼

Presence of Female Officers: The law mandates that a woman can only be searched or handled by a female officer. Physical assault by a male officer is a direct violation of gender-specific protocols and can lead to charges of outraging the modesty of a woman.

Power should be a shield, not a sword. ⚖️
It’s heartbreaking to watch a junior advocate literally begging for grace and mentioning his physical pain, only to be met with an order for 24-hour police custody.

Is this the mentorship our legal system offers the next generation? Using the bench to intimidate young lawyers isn’t just a display of authority, it’s an overreach that stifles the very spirit of the Bar.

Justice should be tempered with mercy, not ego. 📉
