[ICON - MV #2] 盧基宏 Gawan Lo - Madonna
Centered on the Queen of pop Madonna - the most revolutionary superstar in pop culture history - this piece explores the dynamic interactions among “superstars and superfans” and “avant-garde art and secular morality”. The rhythmic “tick-tock” of the clock in the poem symbolizes the passage of time and the shifting of eras; yet, through this temporal flux, the cultural symbol Madonna stands immovable. The work not only views her as a miracle of pop music, but also elevates her to heights of philosophy, academia, gender equality, and human rights: she challenges outdated traditional morality, breaks gender inequality, corrects societal prejudices against sexual orientation, and advocates viewing diverse sexual orientations through the lens of “love and parental care”. From a devout and reverent fan perspective, the poet expresses a willingness to “sail to the horizon together” with this queen of the century, treating her music, dance, and speeches as magic that saves the earth's secular ignorance and heals the soul. The entire poem conveys a strong cross-era spirit, praising how artists - through ultimate self-confidence and avant-garde thought - become eternal symbols that lead trends and illuminate the dark world.
