《支持高等法院黎智英案裁決》

本人支持高等法院法官裁定黎智英串謀勾結外國勢力及煽動罪名成立。
《國安法》不具有追溯條款，目的是提供既往不咎的回頭機會。但黎智英在《國安法》頒布後，仍串謀外國勢力，煽動市民，損害香港繁榮穩定，斷送眾多香港青年前途，破壞家庭和諧。

維護國家安全是所有國家政治不可逾越的紅線。世界各國都有國家安全法例，懲治勾結外國勢力破壞社會的人士。《基本法》保障香港新聞自由，但新聞自由不應成為煽動人民造反的保護傘。

我歡迎香港法院依法懲治破壞國家安全的兇徒。今次判決彰顯香港法治精神。我期望判決可警惕香港市民，切勿以身試法，並為香港帶來長久繁榮穩定。

《Supporting the High Court’s Verdict on Jimmy Lai》

I support the High Court’s verdict finding Jimmy Lai guilty on two charges of conspiring to collude with external forces and a charge of conspiracy to publish seditious materials.

The National Security Law does not have retroactive effect. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for individuals to start a fresh chapter in their life. However, after the enactment of the National Security Law, Jimmy Lai continued to collude with external forces, incite citizens, undermine Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability, jeopardize the futures of numerous Hong Kong youth, and disrupt family harmony.

Safeguarding national security is a political red line that cannot be crossed in any country. Nations around the world have national security laws to punish those who collude with foreign forces and undermine society. The Basic Law guarantees freedom of the press in Hong Kong, but press freedom should not be used as a shield to incite rebellion among the people.

I welcome Hong Kong court’s lawful punishment of those who undermine national security. This verdict highlights the spirit of the rule of law in Hong Kong. I hope the verdict serves as a warning to the public to refrain from breaking the law and helps bring long-term prosperity and stability to the city.

[支持成立獨立委員會調查宏福苑大火]

宏福苑大火是一宗悲劇。我支持特區政府成立獨立委員會，可以在合理可控的時間内和高效地给社會對這災難作出一個總之結。

香港不能再讓悲劇再次發生，更不能任人造謠生事。我相信陸啟康法官作為該委員會的主席定能秉公辦理，調查大火成因及其背後的系統性問題，為香港建立更安全，更有效的市場制度。

[Supporting the Establishment of an Independent Committee on the Fire at Wang F*k Court]

The fire at Wang F*k Court was a tragedy. I support the SAR Government's establishment of an independent committee to provide society with a comprehensive report on this disaster within a reasonable timeframe and with efficiency.

Hong Kong cannot allow more tragedies to recur, nor can it tolerate the spread of rumors and creating chaos. I am confident that Justice David Lok, as chairman of this committee, will conduct the investigation impartially, examining the causes of the fire and the underlying systemic issues, thereby establishing a safer and more effective market system for Hong Kong.

昨晚，我與全球華語律師聯盟舉辦 “立法會換屆選舉法律界候選人與會員見面會”，目的是讓法律界朋友認識和了解兩位法律界候選人及其政綱和立場，更好投票給能夠代表自己的候選人。

12月7日，記得投票，支持“完善選舉制度”！

I organized an election forum last night for candidates for the legal functional constituency in collaboration with the Global Chinese-speaking Lawyers’ Association (GCLA) to help legal professionals know more about the two candidates and their platforms, so that they can make a more informed choice for the candidate who best represents their interests.

Remember to cast your vote on 7 December and support the improved electoral system!

我接受有線電視的訪問，介紹我四年的議政工作。立法會不是投票機器，更多是要將專業意見帶入議會，在立法會監督政府的立法工作和反影民意。

12月7日投票日，市民要積極投票，選出合適人士進入立法會議政。

I was interviewed by Cable TV to introduce my four years of legislative work. The Legislative Council is not merely a voting machine; it is more about bringing professional opinions into the Council and supervising the government’s legislation process and reflect views of the citizen.

December 7 is the voting day, and the public should actively participate and vote to select suitable candidates for the Legislative Council.

【有線新聞】不再競逐連任的立法會法律界議員林新強說功能界別議員在議會運作上，可以多提供專業意見，但同時亦應多接

各位傳媒和法律界朋友：

在過去的4年中，我很榮幸能夠參與第七屆立法會的工作，盡心盡力，為香港法律界和市民服務，呼籲政府重視法律行業的發展，積極為法律界爭取權益，同時回應市民方方面面的訴求。

我對自己在立法會的一些工作成果是比較滿意的，其中有推動港交所改革，令香港重奪全球上市融資金額第一的地位；促進特區政府關注高端航運服務業的發展，維護國家經濟安全；爭取《施政報告》首次明確指示律政司要肩負「專責推廣香港法律服務，協同其他專業服務」的工作；還有重啟「律師法團」執業模式的落實程序等。

最近，我收到不少法律界朋友的關心、支持和鼓勵，我非常感動，覺得這4年的所有努力和付出都值得！

但是，經過考慮多種因素之後，尤其為了律所的業務發展，我決定不參選下一屆立法會。之所以我能夠在過去4年中同時兼顧議員職責和律師事務所的工作，是因為有得力的合夥人幫忙管理律所。未來，我希望可以將更多時間和精力放在律所業務上，特別是國家給出了清晰的發展方向，即要打造國際一流律師事務所，亦要香港善用普通法的獨特優勢，為國家發展作出更大貢獻。

今年1月，立法會辯論並通過的第一個議員議案，便是我的《提升香港國際航運服務中心地位》議案。我相信很多傳媒朋友都沒有留意。該議案建議特區政府關注高端航運服務業的發展，為香港開拓航運服務新領域，從而降低國家的經濟安全風險。如果高端航運服務業能夠發展成功，單是造船融資，每年的集資金額將會是香港年度IPO集資額的3至4倍以上，有利於大幅提升香港金融及航運中心的地位。

我提出這議案後便思考，發展高端航運服務業，除了政府的努力之外，更需要市場的配合，其中就包括法律行業。

我相信，我可以在律師事務所，利用我在法律專業以及立法會的經驗，培育新一代法律人才，為國家，為香港，開創一條新道路。同時，我會繼續透過傳媒和立法會議員發聲，監督政府的工作，並推動法律界的發展。

我再次感謝各位法律界和傳媒朋友的關心。現在法律界有兩名候選人：李穎彰和陳曉峰。雖然兩人都是出選法律界議員，但他們對法律行業的發展方向和關注點都有所不同。李穎彰非常關注本地中小型律師事務所的權益和本地律所的發展。而陳曉峰代表的則是比较大型的律所和外資律所，並更加偏向於高科技以及虛擬經濟的發展。我呼籲所有法律界的朋友，踴躍投票，選出合適的候選人去保障自身權益，通過他們為政府建言獻策，繼續在立法會為整個法律界爭取應有權益，共同守護香港的法治精神。
