One of the first class actions on Europe is writing history in the Court rooms of Milan and we are proudly part of it: A preliminary hearing was scheduled these days where our law firm European Legal Consultancy (Switzerland) is joining forces with some of the top litigation law firms of Europe in a collective action against Philips, the Dutch giant respiratory medical devices which allegedly may be causing serious health hazards. Several thousands of claimants are being represented at this brake through case. For such devices Philips has accepted a case to case out of Court settlement though this is not the case in Europe yet. The major Swiss consumer association is informing its members about this claim.

We are delighted to invite you to the debate on Brexit organized by Global Justice Network on June 24th at 5:00 PM.

Professor Duncan Fairgrieve, Senior Fellow in Comparative Law, British Institute of International and Comparative Law, and Professor of Comparative Law, Université Paris Dauphine PSL and Professor Gilles Cuniberti of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg will present a debate on june 24th organized by Global Justice Network (GJN).

The focus of this debate is on the practical implications of Brexit and the current state of the law. Two positions will be defended during this debate: a pro-Brexit side on one side and a counter-Brexit side on the other.

The moderator of this debate will be Carlos Villacorta of BCV Lex (Madrid, Bordeaux), member of the GJIN committee.
