Unfair law

According to the Section 1-2 of the Georgian law on Aliens, a
residence permit shall not be issued to the alien whose stay had been extended at the time of submitting the application for the residence permit. In my opinion, such a legislative gap is highly undesired as its current wording is discriminatory as it punishes relatively law-obedient aliens having submitted a special application, paid 50 GEL fee and granted an extension of stay: aliens having an extension to stay do not qualify for the temporary
residency permit, while persons having no legal stay at all do qualify for getting the permits!

კობს ყოველთვის განსაკუთრებული ადგილი ეჭირა რუსეთის საგარეო პოლიტიკაში.

საქართველო–რუსეთის 1920 წლის ხელშეკრულებით, საქართველოს ყველა "პერევალი", კობამდე და ონამდე, ცხადდებოდა ნეიტრალურ ტერიტორიად:

СТАТЬЯ III.

1. Государственная граница между Грузией и Россией проходит от Черного моря по реке Псоу до горы Ахахча, через гору Ахахча и гору Агапет и по северной границе бывших губерний Черноморской, Кутаисской и Тифлисской до Закатальского округа и по восточной границе этого округа до границы с Арменией.
2. Все перевалы на означенной пограничной линии до 1 января 1922 года признаются нейтральными. Они не могут быть занимаемы войсками из обеих договаривающихся сторон и не могут быть ни одной из них укрепляемы.
3. На Дарьяльском перевале указанная в пункте 2 настоящей статьи нейтрализация будет распространена на протяжении перевала от Балты до Коби, на Мамисонском перевале от Зарамага до Они, а на всех прочих перевалах на пятиверстное в обе стороны от пункта прохождения границы расстояние.

ANTI-TUNNEL MANIFESTO

ELIMINATING THREAT TO THE GEORGIAN STATEHOOD - Kvesheti-Kobi Tunnel Project

One of the major historical obstacles for Russian territorial (or simply geopolitical) expansion over the past several centuries has been the Caucasus Mountains. Thence comes Russia’s permanent drive to reduce the role of the mountain range through artificial construction of passes and roads into the
South Caucasus.

Recently Georgian Government initiated the North-South Corridor Project (Kvesheti-Kobi).

ADB describes it as follows: "A new highway in northeast Georgia is expected to enhance road safety and boost the country's position as a regional trade hub and tourist destination."

In my opinion, the Project is very dangerous to the statehood of Georgia. All such tunnels constructed in Georgia are now occupied by Russia. Moreover, the Project will help Russia to
make the Anschluss EASTERN OSSETIA Project within one hour or so.

If the Tunnel is constructed, it will motivate Russia to occupy the whole region and to install there the full spectrum
