🌳 World Hypertension Day 2025
This year, the Georgian Society of Arterial Hypertension and Vascular Research celebrated World Hypertension Day in a unique and meaningful way at the Tbilisi Sea.
We planted 12 trees, each dedicated to a renowned scientist and clinician whose outstanding contributions have shaped the field of hypertension research and patient care. These trees symbolize growth, knowledge, and the enduring legacy of those who have helped improve cardiovascular health around the world.
The event also brought together students, who were invited to share their thoughts and creativity around a simple but powerful question:
"What is arterial hypertension for you?"
Through their ideas, reflections, and artistic expressions, they demonstrated the importance of awareness, prevention, healthy living, and the collective responsibility we all share in combating high blood pressure.
Today, these trees stand not only as a tribute to scientific excellence but also as a reminder that every action—whether advancing research, educating communities, or making healthy choices—can contribute to a healthier future.
On World Hypertension Day, we encourage everyone to:
❤️ Measure your blood pressure regularly
❤️ Know your numbers
❤️ Adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle
❤️ Support awareness and prevention efforts
Together, we can reduce the burden of hypertension and build a healthier future for generations to come.
