A proud moment worth sharing again!

Nexa Law is a finalist in the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026, shortlisted for Business Enabler of the Year. It’s a recognition that means a great deal to us.

Since Nexa was founded, we’ve focused on creating an environment where experienced lawyers can build successful practices with the infrastructure, technology and support of a modern law firm behind them.

“But what about my mortgage?” 🏠

It might not be the first question that comes to mind when considering becoming a consultant solicitor, but it can be one of the biggest.
Moving away from a traditional employed role naturally raises questions about how lenders will view your income.

-Can you still get a mortgage if you’re self employed?
-How will a lender assess fee share income?
-Do you really need two or three years of accounts?
-And what happens if you’re only in your first year as a consultant?
