🌧️🌱 Wet Grass, Long Grass… October Grass! 💪

Anyone who's tried cutting long, soaking wet grass in October will know it's no easy task 😂

It takes patience, the right equipment and a fair bit of skill to get a decent finish when the grass really doesn't want to cooperate!

But we got there 💪

What started as an overgrown, soggy lawn is now cut nice and short, looking tidy and much more manageable.

Even better, our customer is now booked onto a monthly lawn maintenance plan, so keeping on top of it will be much easier going forward.

Another happy customer, another challenging lawn conquered, and we're still smiling!

🍂 A Fresh Start Before Winter! 🌿

Another garden tidy-up completed today for a lovely new customer!

The garden had become rather overgrown, so the aim was simple — get everything cut back, tidied up and back to a manageable condition before winter sets in 🍁

✅ Overgrown lawn cut back
✅ Garden edges and borders tidied
✅ General garden tidy-up
✅ All green waste removed and taken away

It's amazing what a good tidy-up can achieve! The customer now has a much more manageable garden that they can maintain themselves going forward.

Sometimes it's not about a complete garden makeover - just giving things a fresh start! 🌱

🛒 COSTCO… WHEN DID YOU BECOME SUCH AN ORDEAL?! 🤯😂

So, it's my day off today. A nice, relaxing Friday, I thought. What better way to spend it than a little trip to Costco?

BIG MISTAKE! 🤦‍♂️🤣

Since when did visiting Costco become an extreme endurance sport?

🚗 First challenge – actually getting into the car park.

🅿️ Second challenge – finding somewhere to park!

🛒 Third challenge – navigating your way around a warehouse absolutely RAMMED with people, trolleys and queues!

🚶‍♂️ And finally, the grand finale… trying to get OUT of the place!

📸 This was the queue to leave at MIDDAY on a WEEKDAY! Not a Saturday, not Christmas Eve… just an ordinary Friday in October! 😳

Honestly, I think I spent almost as much time trying to get in and out as I did actually shopping!

I remember when a trip to Costco was quite enjoyable. Now it feels like you need a packed lunch, a survival kit and half a day's annual leave! 😂

And the funniest thing? We're actually paying for the privilege of shopping there! 🤣

So, genuine question…

👉 Has Costco become ridiculously busy, or am I just getting old and grumpy?

👉 Is there actually a GOOD time to visit anymore?

👉 Or have you given up going altogether?

Come on, Costco regulars… share your secrets! 👇😂

🌧️ Wet, overgrown… but job done! 🌱✂️

A new customer for us today, kindly recommended by our good friends at Mow & Blow Pro - Build Your Own Legacy - always appreciated 🙌

As you can see from the before and after, this lawn had become pretty overgrown. Add in October conditions, soaking wet grass and rain this morning, and it certainly wasn’t the easiest of cuts!

But sometimes the job simply needs doing.
Today was about getting the lawn back under control and to a much more manageable length.

With grass this wet and overgrown, you don’t want to try and achieve perfection in one aggressive cut.

Over the next few visits we can gradually bring the height down further, tidy and sharpen those edges, and generally get the lawn looking its best again.

Not ideal mowing weather but a cracking improvement for the first visit!

A big thank you for the recommendation, and to our new customer for trusting us with their garden.

A very satisfying garage clearance today 🧹♻️

We were back helping one of our regular customers, this time tackling a garage that had accumulated quite a lot over the years.

This wasn't simply a case of loading everything up and taking it away.

We cleared and organised the garage, swept through and removed all the old debris and mess, leaving the customer with a much cleaner and more usable space.

As licensed waste carriers, we also make sure everything we remove is dealt with properly.

The waste was separated into different types, including general waste, wood and plastic, scrap metal and contaminated waste such as open paint containers.

We even managed to give some of the old bricks and tiles another lease of life by dropping them into a local reclamation yard rather than simply disposing of them.

A big transformation in just a few hours - and another job where the before and after photos really do tell the story!

If you've got a garage, shed, garden or other space that's got a little out of hand, feel free to get in touch.

We can help with the clearance, responsible waste removal and getting the space back into shape.

TWO NEW LAWNS ON THE ROUND TODAY

Great to welcome a couple of new customers today and give their lawns some much-needed attention for different reasons.

It’s certainly been a funny old season for lawn cutting!

After the extended hot, dry weather through the summer, many lawns really struggled, but with the recent change in conditions, the grass is green again and certainly growing 🌧️🌱

We’re still taking on new lawn-cutting customers, and we expect there to be plenty more growth yet before the season properly slows down.

Whether your lawn needs a one-off tidy-up, regular maintenance, or simply getting back under control, we’d be happy to help.

📩 We currently have some availability, so get in touch today for a quote.
