Planning for your death can be intimidating, especially when there isn't a lot of guidance that has LGBTQIA+ people in mind.

We’ve worked with Ash Hayhurst (he/him) from , and writer (she/her) to create a series of guides to help plan for your end of life as an LGBTQIA+ person 💛

Some LGBTQIA+ people will have particular wishes for what happens when they die. It’s important to make sure you communicate these to the right people, and that the right people can make decisions on your behalf.

Lots of people think writing a will is all about death, but we're going to put it out there and say that we think it's all about love. And, strange as it sounds, it can actually be a fun thing to talk about with your family and friends.

The laws around pregnancy loss still don’t include miscarriage. So if you’re one of the 250,000 women a year who experience pregnancy loss, you have no right to taking time off work that you may need to grieve.

We worked with Daye to talk about stigmas around pregnancy loss and grief at work 💛

We’re changing the way the world deals with death and that starts with breaking down stigmas around grief and pregnancy loss. We worked closely with Daye, who are raising the bar in women’s health, to talk about why breaking down the stigma starts at work.

Being remembered your way matters. So we’re partnering with ceramic artist John Booth, to explore how urns can reflect who we really are.

Many people choose an urn as their final resting place. But we rarely talk about how they can help us express who we are. For John, this meant creating five colourful urns to start a conversation about how we can better honour someone’s life, their way.

If these urns resonate with you, you can apply for one at farewill.com/urns

Today, we've partnered with rugby icon, Gareth Thomas, to talk about what it's really like to deal with death during the pandemic. After losing his uncle at the start of the lockdown, Gareth has spent months dealing with delays and disruptions – like thousands of others.

By talking openly about these issues, we genuinely hope we can start to drive change for the better.

Here he is live on BBC News and there's more on the research he mentions on our blog, if you'd like to find out more.
