Nobody hands you a guide for an in-house lawyer job. Whether you come from private practice, or straight from qualifying, you assume the job is the law. But it’s so much more.

It’s learning the business, mastering the judgement, understanding where risks are, speed, translation (form legal to business), and knowing which fires are real.

Hi, I’m Edyta.

I’m a derivatives lawyer, former corporate girl and now an entrepreneur.

I spent years inside Credit Suisse and Man Group, negotiating the agreements behind global financial markets. Today, I run my own legal consultancy and DerivativesLab - an education platform for lawyers who want to understand the parts of this profession that are rarely taught.
