When it rains it pours

After a long stretch of rain in London, it’s good to see the sun back out again.
For a property management company, the weather often sets the tone for the week. And sometimes, when it rains, it really does pour.
This past week has been a busy one for us at Property UK Direct, with calls from tenants and landlords covering everything from burst pipes to roof leaks. Not always glamorous, but very much part of keeping homes safe, dry and well looked after.
The urgent issues resolved, the right trades coordinated, and everyone updated along the way.
Now that the skies have cleared, we’re ready for whatever comes next.
Property management is rarely quiet for long, but that’s exactly why being responsive matters.

A small decoration project completed over the weekend in St John’s Wood.

This two bedroom home is a property I recently helped a client secure. The flat needed a little cosmetic updating and, as it was empty, she was keen to have the work done quickly before her furniture delivery.

With her work schedule extremely busy, the aim was simple. Get everything finished so she could return to work on Monday with one less thing to worry about.

We brought in extra help and worked through the weekend to make it happen, organising the team on a rota so everyone still had proper rest while also having the chance to earn a little extra, which they very much appreciated.

At this time of year everyone is busy, but with a little flexibility, problem solving and teamwork, we were able to make it work for everyone. A good example of how the right approach can turn a tight timeline into a win win for all involved.

Today was another home search, this time in St John’s Wood and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

The kind of day where the applicant wanted to make an offer on every single property we saw 😀
Either she’s very easily pleased or the shortlist was spot on. I’ll take the latter.

Sadly she can’t have them all, so we went for the most charming one. A beautiful home with a back garden and a real sun trap, perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons spent with a book.

Offer made. Now we wait 🤞

Assignee arrived from New York yesterday and we hit the ground running in Marylebone.
8 properties in 3 hours and not a single wasted stop. That only happens when the brief is properly understood and the shortlist is spot on.

We squeezed in a quick bite, kept going, and then it was obvious.
A clear favourite. An off market property on New Cavendish Street.
Offer made there and then.

Now we wait. Fingers crossed 🤞
