Is your workplace really supporting work-life balance?
This National Work Life Week, our HR Business Partner, Laura-Claire Peters, shares her thoughts on what employers can do to create a healthier balance for their teams.
“Work-life balance looks different for everyone, which is why flexibility and open communication are so important.
Employers should regularly consider whether workloads are manageable, whether employees feel able to switch off outside working hours, and whether flexible working arrangements genuinely support the needs of both the individual and the business.
Often, the early signs of burnout can be easy to overlook. Regular check-ins, realistic expectations and a workplace culture where people feel comfortable speaking up can make a significant difference.
Supporting work-life balance isn’t about reducing productivity, it’s about creating an environment where people can perform at their best without compromising their wellbeing.”
