After entering administration on the 6th of May 2026 all restaurants closed immediately and staff were made redundant but for many redundancy pay may not be the end of the matter.

If an employer proposes making 20 or more redundancies at a single location within a 90-day period a formal collective consultation process is required first. If that process is not followed, employees may be entitled to Protective Award. Up to 180 days’ gross pay per employee, separate from and in addition to redundancy pay and administration does not automatically prevent a claim.

Rocket manufacturer Orbex has announced the intention to appoint administrators. The Scottish company has been unable to secure the funding needed and more than 150 staff members now face uncertainty.

The recent administration of Moores Furniture Group has meant many employees have been made redundant with further redundancies possible.
