I’m not fast and no full marathon training but today was about making the 20.5 loops enjoyable. My kids joined me for part- I think the pizza break had something to do with this. Running along others achieving their goals too, support from running group, my husband and kids. Kids on their bikes made today very different to other marathon’s and very enjoyable! Just goes to show what you can achieve if you put your mind to it and push your body too!
Running is great for mental and physical health. Awesome feeling when you achieve a distance that you have strived for too!

It may be a bank holiday but in the last 24hrs I have dealt with 3 new clients suffering different types of abuse:
1. Emotional abuse - coached the client in how to communicate with a controlling ex.
2. Physical abuse - in conjunction with Women’s Aid was able to put together a plan of action.
3. Child neglect - was able to support a father in understanding the legal process to ensure the safety of the child.
Separation is about so much more than the legal stuff!

Looking at matters from your children’s perspective and their needs should help too but there is no concrete answers in here - but life isn’t straight forward is it - can be grey matters not just black and white!

It is children’s mental heath week this week .... I think this post says it all. My focus in mediation is always centred around the children. I try to help parents - help unburden themselves, do something for them so they can be there for their children. This is such a poignant way or putting it though ...

So when we heard about the good work the inspirational Head Teacher @chrisdysonHT Mr Chris Dyson was doing at #ParklandsPrimary Leeds- organising his Christmas Eve Eve party so his pupils saw Santa, received presents and have a Christmas dinner together and also handing out food parcels for families in need we couldn’t miss out on the the chance to donate some chocolates and biscuit selection boxes too. Enjoy the celebrations!

#Marathontraining Long run today 20 mile - never done this distance before. Steady away - mile by mile. Completed with average of 10.11 per mile but have to say was getting slower and slower towards end. Another six? Race day .... but not for today. 26.2 a long way ... in ore of people who make this look easy it isn’t !!
