Last week, our Family Solicitor Clare and Commercial Property Solicitor Sophia took part in the Leeds Legal Walk, organised by Leeds Law Society with special assistance from honorary employee Lucian the dog!

The annual 10k walk around Leeds city centre raises funds for the Access to Justice Foundation Yorkshire helping support charities and organisations that provide free legal advice and assistance to people who might otherwise struggle to access justice.

We're proud to support such an important cause and to be part of an event that brings the legal community together for positive change.

What started as an ambitious idea became something truly extraordinary.

In June, more than 200 cyclists, supported by an incredible team of volunteers and support crews, took on the Pedal 4 Pounds (P4P) MND – One Last Time challenge. Over three days and 235 miles, they rode from Ipswich to Huddersfield in support of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and former Ipswich Town Football Club and Huddersfield Town striker Marcus Stewart.

Last night, the final fundraising total was revealed: an astonishing £171,855.

We are especially proud of our own David Amies, Commercial Partner, who completed all three days as part of Team Green, and Adam Fletcher, Director, who joined the support team to help keep riders fuelled, moving and motivated throughout the challenge.

This incredible achievement is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together behind a cause that matters.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you for helping to make a real difference in the fight against MND.

We were delighted to see Laura Milburn and Misbah Mohammed present the Ridley & Hall Prize for Public Law to Francesca Moore from Leeds Beckett University Law School.

Francesca was awarded the prize in recognition of being the highest achiever in the Public Law module, a fantastic accomplishment that reflects her hard work, dedication and academic excellence.

We were delighted to attend the FB Fashion Ball & National Business Hero Awards Summer Soirée last week at Dakota Leeds, hosted by Lisa Darwin.

The evening was a wonderful chance to catch up with familiar faces and celebrate everything that makes The Fashion Ball - Leeds such a special initiative.

What stands out most is the welcoming and supportive atmosphere that encourages people of all ages, shapes and backgrounds to take part. It is about far more than fashion; it is about confidence, friendship and believing in yourself.
