Meet our Chief Wellbeing Officer, Luca! A firm favourite with clients, as well as staff, Luca provides essential wellbeing services through the need for walks and fuss - making sure our very willing staff get some fresh air and exercise. He loves a bit of fuss and attention.

As a trustee of Pets As Therapy , Helen, is very aware of the benefits having an office dog can bring, and there aren't many people who can walk past him without giving him a big smile and some fuss. Alwsys encouraged by Helen as long as Luca keeps four paws on the floor 😉

Luca has been an essential part of the team since 2019 and is working on his agility and behaviour techniques. If you haven't met him already, make sure you say hello next time you are visiting our office.

Helen has been lucky enough to get out and about recently and attended a conference held by IPW - Institute of Professional Willwriters at Drayton Manor Park Hotel.

We always aim to provide the best possible service to customers and making sure we are ahead of the game is one of the ways we do that.

As well as being able to catch up with others in the industry, events like this provide valuable learning opportunities, and this then influences our work with customers.

Wills can be more complicated than you think. We make sure that we are up to date and in the know with best practices, and all of the latest changes.

☑️Crufts 2026

What a weekend it has been... Helen took a trip to Crufts and staffed the Pets As Therapy stand, managing to catch up with fellow Trustee, Hem, as well as meeting the legend and volunteer extraordinaire that is Carol.

As well all of that fun, she also got to see Luca's agility coach, Laura, be crowned Crufts Champion in the ABC agility stakes! 🥇How amazing.

Thankfully, Helen also managed to squeeze in some downtime to enjoy some delicious food and drinks. She had to keep up her energy as she moved on from the excitement of Crufts and on to the excitement of the Will Writing Academy and Institute of Professional Will Writers Conference 2026. She has 2 full days of 'learning, insight and connection' to help continue to deliver up to date and informed services to all of the Morrell Will Services clients.

We are giving another quick shoutout to Emily - our Business Admin Apprentice.

It's , and the perfect time to celebrate how much of a difference having Emily in the office has made. Since joining us last year she has fully embraced her role. Not only is she brilliant with our clients, she keeps us all on track (and chooses the best biscuits 😃).

Well done Emily - and keep up the great work. Not long now until the apprenticeship will be complete!

Meet Helen!

Helen Morrell heads up Morrell Will Services, and is supported by small team of fantastic individuals.

She has a passion for supporting and helping people (which explains her background in social services and the charity sector), and has spent many years working directly with people - understanding their needs, giving them her support and finding solutions to problems.

Helen loves her local community, supports local businesses (and has set
up the Shiney Row Business Association as a result of this), as well as being a trustee for Pets As Therapy. She is, without a doubt, a good egg.

Helen understands the complexities of family life, and how difficult it can be to make decisions about the future, and she has a natural knack for making those conversations seem a little less heavy. She is the perfect person to speak to about all things Estate Planning.

It is almost over and out from us for 2025! We close our doors at 4pm today, Christmas Eve, though are available via the phone for any emergencies. Please call the office on 0191 385 7295 if you need us. We will respond as quickly as possible, though there might be a slight delay due to the time of year. We will be back in the office on Monday 5th January and will follow up with any non-urgent enquiries as soon as we can.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support throughout 2025 and we wish all of our customers, supporters and followers all the best for the rest of the festive season, and heading into 2026.
