When is the right time to buy life insurance? It varies from person to person because important factors like family and finances need to be greatly considered. But when it comes to timing, the earlier you prepare your life insurance plans, the better.

There is also a significant economic impact by considering life insurance earlier in your life, you can potentially qualify for lower premiums.

It is more difficult to search for suitable life insurance if you have medical conditions, which are more likely to develop as you grow older.

It will be less costly to purchase life insurance today, while you are young and in better health, than years later when you may have a family to care for or other commitments to focus on.

Critical illness insurance covers the expenses you may incur due to a grave illness (e.g., heart attack, stroke, or cancer) or to help you pay your bills while you’re ill.

Disability insurance, on the other hand, replaces the income you lose due to a serious injury or an illness that physically disables you from working.

Both policies differ on the duration of benefits.

Critical illness policies pay a one-time, tax-free lump sum once the insured is diagnosed with a covered condition.

Disability policies will either pay a monthly benefit for a pre-established period, such as 5 or 10 years, or until the insured reaches a certain age—typically 65.

However, critical care is not a substitute for disability insurance. Talk to us to find out what suits best for you.
