BE CAREFUL of breaking your cohabitation if you are married to a Dutch national. Time and time again we get customers, couples, who are surprised by the fact that travelling to the Netherlands on a different date (sometimes as little as 3 days later) can be reason to reject your naturalisation application. In the Netherlands travelling/moving on a different date can be used as an excuse to be difficult and even reject. There can be solutions to this, but you likely need legal advice on this.

Vooral de duizenden die als gevolg van de wetswijzigingen in 1985 en 2003 hun Nederlanderschap automatisch en vaak onbewust verloren. En de velen waarbij dit nog dagelijks gebeurt. Surinaamse oud-Nederlanders die nu nog irregulier (illegaal) in Nederland verblijven kunnen alsnog een verblijfsvergunning krijgen. Hiervoor wel goed om nu al voor te bereiden, de periode dat je de aanvraag in kunt dienen is slechts van 01 januari 2025 tot 01 juli 2025.
