The Price of Privacy.
Having a conflict to sort out is all very well, but what happens if this is something that you don’t necessarily want to be associated with? This can apply to all sorts of situations, from liaising with the council over anti-social behaviour to dealing with school conflicts in a discreet manner. There’s nothing wrong at all with wanting to maintain anonymity, and SJS Dispute Resolution can carry out the work with absolute discretion.
Why might you want to remain anonymous?
For most people it’s the fear of reprisals, i.e. the consequences of any complaint. Especially if we’re dealing with neighbourhood disputes; the last thing you want is to have your rightful peace and quiet disturbed in your home. For others it can be the milder end of the knock-on consequences that bother them. A school friend not wanting to play with your child at school any more, leaving them out of play dates and sleepovers.
Guilt can be another factor in wanting to remain anonymous. If you’ve made a complaint which ultimately ends up with social services involvement, a family being moved on from their home or someone in a shop losing their job, that can be hard to accept.
BUT – none of these mean that you shouldn’t make the complaint. We are here to provide the support that you might need to go forward with resolving the conflict, ending the arguments or finding the strength to make a complaint about somebody you know.
