Our Cayman team is pleased to continue supporting Beacon Farms, an inspiring social enterprise that creates employment opportunities in agriculture for Caymanians recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.

Beacon Farms provides a supportive, hands-on environment where recovering individuals can learn new skills and reconnect with nature. Alongside empowering people to rebuild their lives and regain confidence, their work is also helping to strengthen food security in the Cayman Islands through innovative, locally tailored farming practices.

We’re proud to support Beacon Farms and the meaningful difference they are making in our community.

Our London colleagues laced up their trainers this week, stepping out for a good cause!

On Tuesday 11 Ogier walkers – spanning our corporate, dispute resolution and business services teams – hit the streets for the 10k London Legal Walk, in support of Legal Support Trust. Their efforts will help safeguard access to justice for those who need it the most, raising funds for frontline free legal advice charities in London and the South East.

Associate Alexandra Alekhina said: "Coming together as an Ogier team was a fantastic way to show our collective support for a cause that helps provide equitable access to justice in our community. It was also a great opportunity to connect with colleagues along the way, creating a real sense of shared purpose as we walked the route."

Kudos to our awesome colleagues who participated: Kulshrestha, Alekhina, Harle, Simm, Ives, Snead, Ward, Tobin, Lutsiv, Woodward and Watson.

To mark UK Volunteers’ Week, we're celebrating the community impact our people are making in Jersey.

In the last 100 days, 10 teams involving over 50 colleagues have come together to support local charities through hands-on volunteering, enabled by Ogier's paid volunteering leave. Activities have included:

Heritage: Four teams took on the task of sanding and repainting picnic benches at La Hougue Bie and Hamptonne Country Life Museum ahead of the busy visitor season.
Basics: Volunteers assembled essential care packs for new mothers and their babies packaged into Moses baskets to give families in need a supportive start.
Freshwater Angling Association: An enthusiastic team built an accessible floating platform on a lake, opening up opportunities for more people in the community to enjoy fishing.
for Life: Volunteers watered young trees and cleared space at Val de la Mare Arboretum supporting new planting and future growth.
Trust for Jersey: A dedicated team cleared bracken and brambles to help hedging whips thrive, contributing to vital wildlife corridors.

Thank you to every Ogier volunteer. Your time, energy and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference in our communities

At Ogier, we’re proud to support organisations making a real difference across the Cayman Islands. Recently, our Cayman corporate social responsibility committee provided funding to four local non-profit organisations, helping them continue their valuable work:

⭐ CareerMasters: As a Bronze Youth Impact Partner, our support helps CareerMasters equip local students (ages 14 - 18) with essential skills, mentorship and workplace experience. Together, we’re helping to prepare Cayman’s future workforce to confidently pursue careers and contribute to a more resilient community.

⭐ Jasmine Palliative & Hospice Care: Our donation to the Jasmine helps to ensure the long-term sustainability of their services, providing vital emotional, spiritual and wellbeing support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.

⭐ LIFE Cayman: Our support helps LIFE to deliver vital literacy programmes, giving children and families resources and opportunities to develop a love of reading and build brighter futures through education.

⭐ New To You, by NCVO: Our funding enables NCVO to support the emotional wellbeing of children and families affected by trauma, provide healthy meals to children in their care and deliver specialised educational support to help every child reach their potential.

We’re honoured to stand alongside these organisations, working together to improve lives and build a sustainable future in our local community.

Guernsey colleagues marked the arrival of spring last month by getting outdoors and active for a cause close to their hearts.

Ten dedicated colleagues participated in the "30 Walks in 30 Days" challenge in aid of Les Bourgs Hospice. Together, they covered hundreds of thousands of steps, championing Guernsey's only hospice which provides islanders with free specialist palliative and end-of-life care.

With the help of Ogier's employee giving fund that supports colleagues' personal charity endeavours, the team proudly raised £1,000 for Les Bourgs.

Kudos to those who stepped up for the challenge - your commitment and efforts are inspiring.

Let the medieval revelry begin! ⚔️

Jersey's rich medieval history will be brought to life next week – May half term – with an exciting new family event at Mont Orgueil Castle.

Ogier is proud to support Jersey Heritage's Medieval Revels – ‘Lé Rêvillon du Mouoyen Âge’ in Jèrriais – which will include live battle shows, music and hands-on activities for all ages to enjoy. The four-day event at the 13th-century castle will be Monday to Thursday, 25-28 May, 10am-4pm daily.

💬 Nicola Lucas, Jersey Heritage’s Community Events Curator, said: “The clash of steel and the roar of battle as knights in armour storm the battlements of Mont Orgueil – who wouldn’t want to be at the Castle to experience that!

“Those who enter the Castle’s walls will be transported back to the 13th century to soak up a bustling medieval atmosphere. Our expert re-enactors, who have performed across Europe and the UK, will showcase the skills, tactics and spectacle of medieval combat. There will be a medieval physician, who will reveal the cures, remedies and superstitions of the time, and a medieval cook, who will share insights into historic food preparation and life in the castle kitchens. A medieval scribe will show Islanders the calligraphy of the time, and there will be plenty of other activity to keep families busy throughout their visit.”

💬 Kate Kirk, Ogier’s Marketing Director, said: “We are proud to continue working with Jersey Heritage this year to bring together the community and celebrate the Island’s rich history. ‘Medieval Revels’ at Mont Orgueil is an exciting new addition to the charity’s events programme and offers families and would-be knights and princesses of all ages an opportunity to share some unforgettable experiences over May half term. With a host of expert re-enactors on hand to entertain everyone, it promises to be a thrilling way to learn about medieval life inside an iconic medieval castle.”

At Ogier, we're committed to providing sustained support to the communities where we live and work. Last quarter, our Jersey CSR Committee donated a total of £13,000 to three local charities that Ogier has previously supported, helping them to continue their vital work.

Kairos Arts: Our donation will fund 50 one-to-one therapeutic art sessions for children and young people at Jersey Hospice Care, providing a safe space to express feelings and process the difficult emotions linked to loss and grief.

Focus on Mental Illness: Our funding will provide four families affected by severe mental illness with Behavioural Family Therapy, equipping them with practical tools to communicate, manage stress, recognise early warning signs and respond to crises.

Silkworth Group: Our support has contributed to a new vehicle, enabling Silkworth to take clients affected by drug and alcohol addiction to essential off-site activities, fostering new interests and supporting long-term recovery.

We’re proud to assist charities making a meaningful difference in islanders’ lives.

🇬🇬 vs 🇯🇪

As a proud supporter of rugby across the Channel Islands, we can't wait for the 2026 Siam Cup, which takes place at Footes Lane in Guernsey, on Saturday afternoon.

We sponsor both Jersey Rugby Club and Guernsey Raiders and wish both teams all the best for the big game after hard-fought season for both sides.

Whatever happens, Ogier will be on the winning team. We look forward to a competitive game played in a great spirit. We are proud of you both and we are sure you will make it a real sporting occasion.

The Women's Siam Cup gets underway at 14:30, while the Men's Siam Cup kicks-off as at 16:15. We will be down there for what is sure to be an exciting afternoon of rugby. We hope you can make it, too.
