Last week, Georgia and Stephanie visited Myton Hospice to present a cheque following their recent Make a Will Week campaign💚 This campaign involves clients donating to the charity in lieu of our legal fees. Thanks to the support of our clients and local community, we’re proud to have raised £1,677 for such an incredible cause.

It was a pleasure to meet the team and see first-hand the impact of the vital support Myton Hospice provides to local individuals and families every day. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this donation possible.

What a fantastic day at the 8th Annual Socially Shared Social Women in Business Conference on Friday 💜

As headline sponsor, it was a privilege for the team to be part of such an inspiring event, connecting with so many incredible women from across the region.

A particular highlight was seeing our Senior Partner, Heather Wolfe, who took to the stage to share her experiences, insights and advice on confidence, and growing your confidence by facing your fears, and giving insight as to how her relationship with confidence has changed over the years.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with the team. We had some brilliant conversations, made valuable new connections and left feeling inspired by the ambition, resilience and achievements of the women in business community.

We were also delighted to raffle a bottle of champagne, congratulations to Jackie Slora from Freedom Evolution, who was our lucky winner!

Congratulations to the Socially Shared team for organising another fantastic event. We're proud to have been involved and are already looking forward to next year.

Earlier this year, we were proud to celebrate Stephanie Napier being shortlisted as a finalist in the Woman Who Achieves Awards 2026 👏
While Stephanie was not selected as the overall winner, reaching the finalist stage is a fantastic achievement in itself, particularly among hundreds of entries from talented women across a wide range of industries.

The judges recognised Stephanie's commitment to both her personal and professional development, commenting:
"Having taken on a new role recently, she is developing personally and professionally and continuing her career trajectory in the tough profession of law. She is clearly making a big difference in her workplace, and her rapid ascent is a testament to her hard work."

Congratulations, Steph. We look forward to seeing what you achieve next 💜

There are a lot of common misconceptions around Lasting Powers of Attorney, which is why we asked Stephanie Napier to break down some of the biggest myths 👇
00:09 – “My family can automatically make decisions for me if I lose capacity.”
00:23 – “LPAs are only for older people.”
00:38 – “A Lasting Power of Attorney means I lose control of my decisions.”
00:52 – “A Will and an LPA are basically the same thing.”
If you would like personal advice around Lasting Powers of Attorney, please contact Stephanie Napier and the team at [email protected]

What truly makes a great solicitor? ✨

It’s a question that goes far beyond qualifications or legal knowledge.

For us, it’s about how people are treated during some of the most important and often challenging moments in their lives. Listening properly. Communicating clearly. Building trust. Being approachable. Supporting clients with empathy and professionalism.

We asked members of the Willsons team what qualities they believe matter most in a solicitor, and their answers reflect the values that shape how we work every day as a firm 💚

Because whilst legal expertise matters, so does the human side of the profession
