A recent court case reported by Today’s Conveyancer has highlighted the importance of clear and honest communication when buying or selling a home.

The case involved owners of a leasehold property in London who became involved in a dispute concerning information disclosed during the sale of their property.

The dispute concerned whether information relating to historic complaints, disputes and building issues had been appropriately disclosed during the conveyancing process.

While every case depends on its own facts, the matter highlights how important accurate and transparent information can be during the conveyancing process.
