Brain injury can be isolating. The good news is there are people out there to offer support.

This ABI Week, we’re supporting Headway - the brain injury association campaign to highlight the social challenges raised by brain injury and raise awareness of the support available.

Charlotte Webb, Senior Associate in our Personal Injury team and Trustee at Headway Bath and District, recently attended an event held by the charity in Bath to hear about the benefits of the organisation’s support for brain injured individuals.

Awareness of Erb's palsy is essential. Not just to understand how it impacts upon families, but also so they know they're not alone and where to get support.

In our latest episode of Legal Thinking we welcomed Team GB's Gold Medal-winning Paralympian Frankie Allen MBE, to hear about her journey learning about and living with birth injury Erb's Palsy while she pursues success at the highest levels of her sport and advocates for a wider awareness of the injury.

Our solicitors work with many individuals living with Erb's, and so we also welcomed Stephanie Sanderson from our specialist birth injury team to discuss how the legal process can best support those with the injury in the long term while helping advocate for higher accountability from the healthcare system.

The Building Safety Act 2022 (“BSA”) has ushered in a new era of accountability in the built environment. Designed to address systemic failures exposed by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the BSA introduces a raft of new and enhanced legal rights that have transformed building safety into a fertile ground for litigation.

In our sixth and final article in our Building Safety series, Richard Adams addresses three key categories of building safety claims under the BSA: defective design and construction, leaseholder enforcement, and professional negligence:
