Although many of us were due to be flying to our conference in Armenia this week, we gathered “virtually” on Zoom to discuss navigating the “new normal” in US immigration. Thank you to Melissa Chavin, Diana Okoeva and Cindy Azoulay for gathering us online for some exceptional content and brainstorming.

For our quarterly Member Relations teleconference, we listened to a presentation from our Chicago members on H-1B Registration and how it is effecting our practices.

The speakers were Kristen Harris, Harris Immigration, and Ian Wagreich, Hughes Socol Piers Dym.

Our chapter held our final webinar of the year and London Holiday party. The webinar featured speakers from Tel Aviv, London, New York City and Minneapolis. Thank you to Faegre Baker Daniels in both London and Minneapolis for hosting and Ian Scott’s firm in NYC. A huge effort is put forth to do these and we appreciate our volunteers who lead these events. A big thank you to all and especially Melissa Chavin, the committee chair! Happy holidays to all!

Our chapter held it's first webinar of the 2019-2020 year last night. The topic was managing communication with clients with a featured speaker from AILA's Practice and Professionalism Center. Huge thank yous are due to Melissa Chavin for chairing the committee, Diana Okoeva's firm (Clinton's) for hosting in London, Ian Scott's firm (and Kelly Wiener) for hosting in NY, and Cindy LeVine Azoulay for sorting out our new technology that allows us to see the speakers and interact with each other around the world!

RDC-EMEA Madrid conference underway with Hot Topics

The AILA RDC is pleased to announce that our next chapter conference will be held in London on the 20th and 21st of September (the two days before the IBA Immigration Biennial). The conference will feature a number of government speakers, outstanding panellists and will be held in an historic, lovely venue in the heart of London's legal community.
