🧠 The Cost of Always Being Strong

“Be strong.”

It’s one of the most common pieces of advice we give, yet many people are breaking under the weight of it.

Being strong doesn’t mean suffering in silence.
It doesn’t mean ignoring stress, exhaustion, or emotional pain.

Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is ask for help.

Your mental health matters.
Your feelings matter.
And your well-being deserves attention just like your physical health.

Working with people and listening to many life stories has taught me something important as a health personnel.

Not everyone wants the same life — and that’s okay.

It’s okay to want marriage.
It’s also okay not to want marriage.

It’s okay to want children.
And it’s okay to decide that you don’t.

It’s okay to walk away from a relationship that no longer serves you.
It’s okay to choose peace over pressure.

None of these choices make anyone a bad person. They simply mean someone is being intentional about the life they want to live.

Because the truth is, every one of these decisions comes with responsibilities that no one else will carry for you.

So don’t let pressure rush you into decisions you’re not ready for. The same society that pushes you today may be the same one that shames you tomorrow when you’re overwhelmed and lost.

If someone doesn’t want marriage, let them be.
If someone doesn’t want children, let them be.
If someone chooses to have children, respect that too.
If someone is divorced, remember you don’t know the battles behind that decision.
If someone chooses to stay single or avoid relationships, respect that as well.

Life is already heavy enough without us policing each other’s choices.

Respect people’s paths.
Respect people’s boundaries.

Because at the end of the day, the life you choose is the responsibility you will carry.

🛑Unsafe Abortions & Fertility🛑

An abortion done safely by a trained professional may not affect fertility.
But unsafe procedures can destroy the reproductive system.

⚠️ Possible effects include:
• Severe infections (PID)
• Blocked fallopian tubes
• Scarring inside the womb (Asherman’s syndrome)
• Miscarriages in future pregnancies
• Difficulty conceiving

🚨 Seek help if you notice:
Heavy bleeding • fever • severe pain • foul-smelling discharge.

This is not about judgment.
It’s about protecting your life and fertility.

Secondary Infertility – A Silent Shock

You already have a child…
So why is pregnancy not happening again?

That is secondary infertility, difficulty conceiving after having had a previous pregnancy.

Many people don’t expect it.
Many feel confused.
Some feel ashamed.

But it’s more common than we think.

Causes can include:
• Infections after childbirth or abortion
• Untreated STIs
• Uterine conditions (fibroids, adhesions)
• Hormonal changes
• Age-related fertility decline
• Male-factor infertility

Having a child before does not guarantee easy conception again.

If you’ve been trying for 12 months (or 6 months if above 35), it’s okay to seek medical advice.

🛑MISCARRIAGE AND HEALING 🛑

Losing a pregnancy once is painful.
Losing it more than once can quietly break something inside a woman.

Many women smile outside and bleed inside.

If you’ve experienced recurrent miscarriages, please know this:

💔 You are not weak.
💔 You are not cursed.
💔 You are not to blame.

Emotional healing matters too

Your body may heal faster than your heart.

It is okay to:
• Grieve the baby you never met
• Feel angry, confused, or empty
• Talk about it
• Seek counseling or emotional support
• Take your time before trying again

Healing is not forgetting.
Healing is learning to breathe again.

Have you experienced this before? What did you do? Just know you’re not alone. Tomorrow we will expatiate on this topic for better understanding and then steps to prevent future or recurrent miscarriages. You’re not alone❤️
