Recent changes to Canadian citizenship law may open new doors for descendants of Canadians.

For 150 years, Icelandic families have helped build Canada. From New Iceland on the shores of Lake Winnipeg to the thriving Icelandic-Canadian communities of today, the bond between our two nations runs deep.

This September, on behalf of Slayen Immigration Law, I am travelling to Reykjavík to provide free seminars and consultations on Canadian citizenship and immigration — and everyone is welcome.

There are two paths to Canada:

🍁 Have Canadian roots? A parent, grandparent, or ancestor from Canada could mean you're entitled to Canadian citizenship — or able to reclaim it.

✈️ Dreaming of Canada? No family ties? You may still qualify to immigrate under another program.

What we will cover:

• Canadian citizenship by descent — who qualifies.
• Claiming or reclaiming citizenship through a parent or grandparent.
• What recent legal changes mean for you.
• Immigration options for those without Canadian ties.
• Citizenship for your children and future generations.
• Live Q&A

📅 Sunday, September 6, 2026 · 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

📅 Monday, September 7, 2026 · 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

📍 Tunguvegur 19, 108 Reykjavík, Iceland

Free admission. Presented in English, with Icelandic language assistance available. Every attendee is welcome to a free 15-minute consultation with me to talk through their options. Coffee, tea, and light treats on us.
