In 2026, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program has received an initial nomination allocation of 4,761 spots.
Unlike 2025, there are no federal requirements limiting nominations to temporary residents. More nominations may be added later in the year, depending on decisions by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

At least 50% of nominations, or 2,381 spots, are reserved for priority sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, skilled trades, mining, manufacturing, energy, and technology.
Within this group, 750 nominations are specifically set aside for Saskatchewan post-secondary graduates working in these priority fields.

Up to 25% of nominations, or 1,190 spots, are allocated to capped sectors. These include accommodation and food services at 15%, trucking at 5%, and retail trade at 5%.

If demand in priority sectors is higher than expected, their share may increase beyond the 50% minimum, reducing spots available to other sectors. The SINP will conduct a mid-year review to assess progress, and if targets are not met, additional nominations may be opened to other sectors.
