Wonder where you’re all joining me from?

This past year, 38% of my clients have been international 🌏, while 62% have been Canadian. 🇨🇦

If you’re looking closely at the map, you’ll notice some countries don’t stand out as clearly because the percentages are smaller… but you get the idea! 🤍

One year ago, my client base was almost evenly split at 50% international and 50% Canadian. It’s been incredible to see more Canadians—and especially fellow Saskatchewan residents—finding their way to me.

Whether you’re across the street or across the world, thank you for trusting me during one of life’s most challenging transitions.

It is truly a privilege to amplify your voice, help you feel heard, and support you in making informed decisions as you navigate separation, divorce, co-parenting, and conflict.

No matter where you call home, I’m grateful to walk alongside you.

Conflict isn’t always yelling.

Sometimes it’s subtle.
Sometimes it’s disguised as “just communication.”
And sometimes it’s a pattern of behaviour designed to create conflict, confusion, or control.

When co-parenting with someone who thrives on conflict or engages in counter-parenting, it can look like:

• Constant emails that leave you emotionally drained.
• Endless debates over issues that should be straightforward.
• Repeated accusations without evidence.
• Last-minute schedule changes that keep everyone on edge.
• Consistently arriving late, creating stress and uncertainty.

Over time, these behaviours can take a toll—not only on you, but on your children.

You don’t have to accept them as “just the way things are.”

I help parents identify, document, and understand these patterns while keeping the focus where it belongs: the children’s well-being. When behaviour is affecting your children, it matters.

🤍You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Sometimes this job can take an emotional toll. But when I read messages of gratitude 🙏🏻 and testimonials from long-time clients like this one, it doesn’t take me long to remember ‘my why’ 🤍.

My clients came from all walks of life and all corners of the world 🌎 and yet one thing unites us all: our passion to find your voice and amplify your truth throughout your separation/divorce.

This can look different depending where you’re at in the journey. For example, whether you are navigating the family court system for the first time, deciding whether to leave a spouse or trying to co-parent with a coercively controlling ex for the millionth time, I meet you where you’re at, in this very moment. ☕️

I hope you don’t wait long to reach out. In fact, the earlier we meet in your journey, the better and the greater chance of success.

For now, thank you to my amazing clients - for so many kind words and for your trust 🤍 It means the world… from little old me in Saskatchewan, Canada. 🇨🇦

Urgent motions are rarely granted in family court but a new case has changed that in Canada. This is a positive step forward for victims of coercive control who are further abused through family courts. Have a read below ⬇️

⚖️ Case Law

Abu Kibash v Gamal, 2026 ONSC 2969, examines the circumstances that will support the court in hearing a motion on an urgent basis. The wife/Applicant brought an urgent motion regarding a number of financial, property, and related matters, and the husband/Respondent opposed it, arguing that there was no urgency to these issues. When you’re in the middle of a failing relationship or a co-parenting struggle post-separation, it’s easy to start doubting your own reality. You may ask yourself: “Am I crazy? Am I overreacting? Why is this happening?” 💭

The moment you start learning about behavioural patterns and personality traits—like those found in Cluster B personality disorders—the fog begins to clear. Understanding what you’re dealing with isn’t about fixing or diagnosing them; it’s about protecting yourself and your peace. Knowledge gives you the tools to stop taking the bait, set firmer boundaries, and realize that their behavior was never your fault.

Key Patterns to Recognize:
🧠Sociopathy / Antisocial Traits (ASPD): A persistent pattern of disregarding others’ rights, lack of remorse, calculated manipulation, and ignoring the harm caused to others—including their own children.
🧠Narcissistic Traits (NPD): An extreme need for admiration, a lack of empathy, a deep sense of entitlement, and playing the victim to avoid accountability.
🧠 Borderline Traits (BPD): Intense emotional volatility, severe fear of abandonment, rapid mood shifts, and “black-and-white” thinking that can create sudden, explosive conflicts.
🧠 Histrionic Traits (HPD): Constant attention-seeking, highly dramatic or exaggerated reactions, and shallow, rapidly shifting emotional displays.

When faith is a deeply rooted part of your life, the decision to separate can feel even more complicated. You may be carrying questions about your beliefs, your faith community, your children, your safety, and what the future might look like.
I come from a faith background myself, and I understand the unique pressures that can come with navigating separation or divorce within a religious community.

You may be asking yourself:

How does interpersonal violence affect the decisions I need to make?
What will my faith community think?
What do I say to my children?
How do I move forward without feeling like I am betraying my beliefs?

You do not have to work through these questions alone.

Let’s work through them together—with compassion, clarity, and without judgment.

Mediation can help families move forward with more clarity and less delay.

Here are a few advantages:

It can be required before court
In Saskatchewan, mediation is often a necessary step before legal proceedings can move ahead.

It can lead to partial agreements
Even if every issue cannot be resolved, mediation may help narrow things down and create agreement on key matters.

It saves time on urgent issues
Court processes can take time, and children’s needs often cannot wait.

It creates space for practical conversation
Mediation allows pressing matters to be discussed in a more timely and focused way.

Sometimes, mediation does not solve everything. But it can still be a helpful step toward progress.

Mediation can help families move forward with more clarity and less delay.

Are you burnt out by the number or length of emails you are receiving by your ex? Are you emotionally drained by the tone and content of the co-parenting emails in your inbox?

I feel your pain 😩

I often work through emails with clients, determining what we need to respond to and what might warrant a canned response.

If you’d like a list of canned responses, email:
[email protected] and use the subject CANNED RESPONSES. I’ll get these off to you.

Having tools in your toolbox is one of the ways we work together to ensure you are prepared and co-parenting effectively in the eyes of the court.
