👀 Sometimes the smallest clue tells the biggest story…

At first glance, I noticed a small gap between the exterior door and the frame. 🚪

Once I opened the door and took a closer look, there it was — damaged weatherstripping that was no longer creating a proper seal. 🔎

It might seem minor, but a poor door seal can mean:

💧 Moisture getting where it shouldn’t
🐜 An easier way in for insects
🌡️ Lost heating & cooling efficiency

Those little black dots on the left are easy to walk past. The dark staining on the right is harder to miss. Same issue either way: wood that stayed wet long enough for mold to move in.

💧 Moisture + time = mold. 👀 Different looks. Same problem. 🛠️ Find the water. Fix the source. Don’t just wipe the surface.

Most moisture problems start small. A slow roof leak. A bathroom fan venting into the attic. Poor airflow that lets winter moisture sit on cold wood.
