The Northwest Community Legal Clinic assists people who cannot afford legal assistance due to financial hardship.

We provide services to the Kenora and Rainy River District with three offices located in Fort Frances, Kenora and Atikokan.

Know Your Rights as a Tenant

Having problems with your landlord, repairs, an eviction, harassment, or other serious housing issues? The Northern Tenant Protection Initiative (NTPI) at the Sudbury Community Legal Clinic may be able to help.

The Northern Tenant Protection Initiative provides free legal services to eligible tenants throughout Northern Ontario, in both French and English. Our services include help with:

 Serious maintenance and repair issues
 Illegal evictions
 Serious harassment (including vital services)
 Tenant applications
 Tenant duty counsel
 Understanding and enforcing tenant rights

We also provide free public legal education presentations on tenant rights. We offer legal presentations, in person and virtually to community groups, agencies, staff, clients, and members of the public.
